    This was a great series, thanks for rescuing it after ATV wiped most of the tapes…

      I think you can blame the several different owners of the ATV archive after it became Central the archive went from pillar to post with many different owners who were only interested in making money out of the more popular titles such as the saint etc and the rest was damaged or went missing an example of this was a sapphire and steel master tape being used as a doorstop in the Carlton era,there maybe some light at the end of the tunnel as a large archive of tapes was deposited at the bfi over a ten year period.

    William Franklin could identify with the first contestant re the bowling as he stated. He trialed as a fast bowler for Essex then a leg spinner for his own team.
