Lucky you. I unfortunately had bought some just before the whole James Charles debacle. I was lucky to be able to resell the palettes to my friends who do not even watch RUclips or know who he is. 😬
it took a lot getting out of the "collector's mindset", myself. i really had to look at products and say "it's pretty, but how often will i use this?" i still have weak moments though....like oden's eye😆

The picture of all of the abh pallets opened ... blew my mind. They all look EXACTLY the same with the same 7 colors in different tones in every single pallet. It’s Robbery
I’d love to see something like a “full face of the cheapest products available at boots” and/or “full face of most expensive makeup I own”. I love those types of videos 🙊
I've been using the kvd foundation for the longest time, it's very good as it's fragrance free and oil free n I have sensitive skin and A LOT of pores and scars of acne, it's so full coverage that with a pump I'm able to do a full coverage complexion without any concealer! sometimes I also mix 1/3 of it with 2/3 of primer and it sheers out to a beautiful medium coverage! I never understood the shade n light palette though, it's pretty useless to have 6 shades edit: yes, it has a pretty similar texture to the remarcable foundation, you just have to learn how to hold back and only use one pump with a very big fluffy brush to spread it out, with a sponge or a very tight foundation brush it looks like cement lol
i never even realized that ppl have different mindsets for collecting, like you're saying. for me, i have a consumer's mindset where I fear missing out on good formulas of products so i will want to buy anything that a lot of ppl say is good. i pride my collection in having only bangers. and so now i'm project panning, the consumer's mindset means i want to finish every single product i have so i can either buy it again because it's so good or replace it with a better product. i am so close to finishing ONE entire eyeshadow palette!! it's the abh subculture 🤭 best of luck to both of us and anyone else who needs it! 🖤💋
also angelika's "did you like it because you like it, or do you like it because it's limited edition" is like my friend's version of "is he cute or is he white?" 🤣🤣
I bought the lippie stix vault not the one you mentioned in the video but the one that comes with 16 shades I believe and you get a free makeup brushes cup. It was a great deal and the colors are beautiful.
I have to say, I’m really happy I discovered your channel! You are very self-aware of your consumption - which is a very refreshing thing to see on youtube nowadays! I have almost entirely stopped buying palettes since I discovered indie singles. Now, instead of only using 4 shades in a 9-pan palette I can curate my own.
"Do you like it because you like it, or do you like it because its limited edition?" Oof, I'm feeling a bit attacked right now. Definitely bought too much makeup just because it's limited edition 😂😂😂
I love this video and honestly all your makeup videos!💜 Also you’ve convinced me to buy the Colourpop Cloud Spun pallet because I’m obsessed with pink anything and Colourpop.
Took a break from watching tours of million dollar homes with Enes Yilmazer for this. Y'all houses in LA be fricken NUTS man. Like literal nuts. I think I like million dollar homes in Arizona more-they just have that more rustic glam kind of feel which I really like. LA homes are just weird lol.
I'm so glad I skipped the abh dip brows and liquid lips I had such bad fomo but at the time ABH was still a US only brand ( am I showing my age here 😂). Also Mac lipsticks, I used to have a post it note with all the MAC lipsticks I wanted, I ended up buying 8 in 1 go 🤦🏿♀️ had I had the money I would have bought 50
I don't buy eyeshadow palettes that have more than sixteen shades anymore because of you and couldn't be more grateful. You made me realise I just won't use them because either they are too big, or I like only a few of the shades anyway. Knowing this really helps me not making my wishlist too too long, thank you!
I actually got the lippie stick bundle and don't regret it. I have used them for eyeshadow, lipstick, and blush. If you aren't going to be versatile with it ya don't buy it but I have used it A LOT.
what i like about angelika is that despite having a large following she's still down to earth with her spending and making sure her income is sustainable and stuff, its very responsible
Girl give that KVD contour palette a try! Its the only contour ive used religiously for years, I use the first as contour and second as bronzer, and the highlight shades are so nice for setting! You can also get single pans now thank god. I also tried the lock it foundation powder years ago when I went to the US and it was soooo pigmented and smoothing but I shattered it flying home 🥲🥲🥲🥲
The shade and light contour palette is more of a useful product for a MUA or someone that usually do makeup on other people, it is just unnecessary to get it for people that just do their own makeup
I just bought the kvd contour palette but the mini c: so its one contour shade and one highlight shade!! I think its really nice to have in your makeup collection
I have only 2 palettes, both from JS. I bought them ages ago before everything came to light and I’m kinda shamed I have to keep using them, not like I can just throw stuff away. At least the other one was secondhand.
The colorful colourpop palette is actually amazing I have all the colorful 9 pans too but the big palette has different shades it’s not the same as the other small palettes or even similar

The fade in the Hue palette by colour-pop is amazing pallet even with all those little towns I still think they have more shades in the face in the Hue palette because they have the Sparkles and all that plus you're taking up less room with one big palette and I think that's how it is just gorgeous and it's like different formula feels like than the smaller pallets that they have
When I first got into makeup, my first foundation was the kvd lock it foundation and it was AWFUL on my dry skin. It clung on to patches that weren’t even dry and made my skin look 100x more cakey and gross. It also dried super fast and it was very very hard to blend out. I stopped using it and instead got the wet n wild foundation. It wasn’t the best bc it was still matte but it was easier to work with than the kvd one. But yeah, I suggest for beginners to not listen to the Sephora ladies that try to get you to buy expensive foundation that probably isn’t even for your skin type. But who knows, if you have super oily skin it might work.
