Hi Derek , love ur videos. Gr8 to see your progression . Can I ask what tyre width u use for natural trails at Tollymore and ur current tyres of choice. Think uve a Michelin on the rear ? Hoping to get there over summer

Thanks 😊 if I'm running 29er then it's 2.4" but I'm currently back to mullet setup which is 29"x2.4" maxxis front and 27.5"x2.8" Maxxis rear. When these wear out I'll be switching to Continental tyres. The Maxxis are fine but I prefer the Continentals

@@cleggycyclist Derek, would you recommend Kryptotal Front and rear, with it's enduro casing and soft compound ? I've heard of a local rider using Argotal Front with Kryptotal rea .....

@@user-wu5fu2nc8s I have an argotal DH casing, soft compound on the front and I have a front kryptotal enduro casing, soft compound on the rear on my 29er wheels. Both have been great. If it's a normal bike you're talking about [and you ride Tolly etc] then yeah go enduro casing soft compound. ebike I'd be inclined to stick with the DH casing I think. Ask me in a years time and it might be different. Krypto's front and rear would be great I'm sure - thats their all rounder tyre. I'd go for the lighter trail casing if you only ride the hardpack trail centre trails like Castlewellan reds and blacks
