This was super helpful & informative. Most videos only show people that stayed in the sleeper cars & not coach. My husband is so excited about not having to drive on 95 all that way for a change! We've been making the trip to FL from NJ for 30 years & he's had enough!
Thank you for writing and we apologize for taking so long to reply. Yes, I think coach was fine for us. The Roomette might have been cramped for us but smaller people might do okay in there. The full bedroom is a lot most expensive but, if you can afford it, it does seem spacious enough.

Can’t thank you both enough. We paid attention to all your suggestions and we had a great trip from Lorton to Sanford in coach. . Albeit a few snorers. Ha ! Will try some earplugs for the journey home next month. Thank you again.
I have taken amtrack from Deland Florida to Trenton several times. I enjoyed the whole trip situation every time. Got picked up at station in Trenton and back to my final destination in Ewing in 20 minutes
Thanks for the informative video, one question, i am assuming all your stuff in your car is safe, since you can't really lock your doors, because the auto train guy must drive your can into the train, and where do your keys go???? thanks sharon
Your keys have to be left in your car, and your driver's side window needs to be left open. I left only my key fob in the cup holder. I packed all of my belongings safely in the back of my car, Buick Encore. Nothing was disturbed when I arrived at the end and got my car.

Well, that’s a great question. I don’t know the answer but I’m assuming it is similar to the way valet parking is done.
