      Correct. Even dentists are fitting these now because nobody can afford implants, crowns, and dentures. If dental care was free for everyone, people would have more options. These clip-ons started off as bite plates [mouth guards] for people who bruxate [teeth grinding] and as Invisalign braces. They're clear snap ins. Then someone got the brilliant idea to make white ones for folks who wanted improved smiles. 👍

    The real "con" comes from all of those "dental professionals" that refuse to offer us an affordable alternative to their over-priced mouth overhauls. Not only that, they KNOW how important oral health is in order to maintain physicall and mental health. Yet, the only treatments insurance will cover hardly qualify as the bare minimum. The rest is considered cosmetic and is self pay. We are out here living paycheck to paycheck, a concept "dental professionals" have obbviously never heard of. I would 100% prefer the

    Great. So maybe the dental professions as a whole needs to find a way to make a beautiful smile affordable. At present it absolutely is not. I don’t have $50K to spend on all the procedures that would be have to take place to give me the smile I got from Shiny smile. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m thrilled with them. They look incredible. My confidence soared. I am still doing regular dental care. I just don’t have to go into debt and years of procedures to get the smile I got for $500 and 3 weeks. Just sayin.

    I find this funny because the partial that the dentist gave me is breaking my teeth and making my mouth bleed. It also cost me a few grand, just to have to continue to fork out hundreds to keep it working well (which I don’t have). The partial a dentist gave me has ruined my self esteem. I’d rather pay 600$ and no longer be in pain. Looks like no matter what I do my teeth are getting ruined, so I’ll do it for cheaper and with more confidence along the way. This review is not only coming from a dentist but from the looks of it he has a good smile…there’s a chance he has no idea how hard it is and what it’s like to suffer without help because you can’t afford a dentist.

    I have tetracycline stained teeth and have done since a child. Now in my 50s and I've just purchase my first set of uppers and downers Instasmile clip on veneers, cost me £360 with discount code. To say I'm extremely pleased is an understatement! They fit very well, they're the ultra thin ones so no buck teeth look and to top it all off, no one noticed anything for days on end until my sister asked if I had my teeth bleached. My dentist quoted £300 per tooth, composite veneers, six top and six on the bottom, total £3,600 or just the top, £1, 800. Dentist happily told me just a few hours if that to fit six. F**king rip off!

Both of those you can eat in. The other thing would be Amazon. They sell DYI dentures kits you make at home for $100. I am having my teeth pulled at low income dental clinic. If you are in the US you could Google low income dental care and the town you live in. There should be dental clinics near you that charge based on. Income bring check stub with you. To your appointment. I bought something that won’t work to eat in. You need something better.

    I'm a bit confused. You said one of the cons is to put anything over your teeth because it can prevent saliva from getting to your natural teeth, promoting bacteria growth. However, I'm not hearing that same argument from you when it comes to permanent veneers, which cover the front of the teeth and prevent saliva from getting to the front of your teeth no different than press on veneers.

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  2 года назад +2

      It is different Matthew. With clip in veneers like this they are covering/encasing the natural tooth that sits beneath. The clip on is then restricting the saliva flow around the tooth and creating potentially an environment better suited to plaque growth.
      With a dental veneer, the natural tooth is modified, but it is designed to replace that tooth surface and its not then encased in the same way.

      I don't believe we are wrong for calling him out. That's what needs to happen on a larger scale in order to get our point across. Being out of touch with what the majority needs - affordable dental care including affordable veneer options- tells me he's just another shitty dentist. I don't care if I end up having to buy clip on veneers from every single clip on veneer company before I find something satisfactory, that fits my needs. At least I'll know my money is going to companies that actually give a damn and who are trying to make decent, affordable options. The mark up on professional dental veneers is INSANE. Capitalism was never intended to role over into the medical field. Mark up "the wants" all you want. But marking up "the needs" is everything that is wrong with society.

    • @TYBG85
      @TYBG85 Год назад

      @@HAUNTED-DOLL Even though you're disagreeing with me I still agree with almost everything you just said. Dental Care and effectively your self-esteem shouldn't be at the mercy of capitalism.
      As for me I found myself here because I broke my front tooth and I had failing teeth. That broken tooth had me incredibly depressed and feeling very unpresentable in a job where being presentable matters.
      A happy update is I am now about 6 months in to getting my top row of teeth done with implants and I am currently wearing a temporary denture and I already feel much better and finally got the hang of this denture for the most part and have felt comfortable dating again.
      I had to get two bone grafts, One sinus lift and a whole row of extractions and a handful of bottom teeth extracted.
      I'm paying $37,000. I am paying in cash so I'm getting a 3% cash discount from the oral surgeon and the dentist knocked off $1,250 for paying cash.
      With those "discounts" and insurance I will actually pay about 32K.
      I go back October 24th to get my jaw scanned to see if the bone grafts healed And then very soon after that I'll get my first implants.
      Then I'll wear the denture two more months then get my first implant denture than 2 months later get the permanent implant denture.

      They aren't mad at you, they are just very hurt people. I am one of them. It's terrible to live like this. My self esteem has been low and has plummeted since my front tooth broke Xmas Eve. Before then it was a tooth I got a root canal on so it was turning black and already causing embarrassment and some rude people to ask me about it.
      I think many of the commenters are wrong about your motives and I think your right that products like these could accelerate tooth problems.
      But I think for desperate folks in alot of emotional pain a product like this can really lift your spirits and self esteem.
      I just think commenters feel like you aren't able to empathize because you have good teeth and maybe can't relate to the desperate sorrow of someone with failing teeth.
      I've been saving for 2 years to get dental work done. No one really relates to me and this goal. Everyone's telling me I should use the money as a down payment on a house.
      I can't get a house, or married or have kids until I feel like I got my dental situation worked out.
      Once I have all those expensive things in my life I know I'm not going to be able to afford a dental payment on top of it.
      So for me I'm desperate enough to spend the money and if I have a nice smile it'll be worth it.
      But until I got this job 18 months ago there's no way I could have ever got my teeth fixed.
      That's what stopped me from wanting to kill myself. The fact that I got lucky and found a good union job and now can actually afford to see a dentist. I still haven't had my teeth fixed yet but I will soon and that's what keeps me going through my current depression.
      God bless everyone who's been suffering through a life of tooth pain and embarrassment.
      I hope you find your job or situation that will allow you to afford to get your teeth fixed.
      If I was a millionaire that's the kinda charity I would do. Because I know how profoundly having bad teeth can effect your life.
      You may put up with an abusive partner because you feel lucky anyone will have you. My heart hurts so bad for other people like me who don't have the resources. I grew up very poor so this job is life changing to me.
      I hope some other people from my class find a way to fix their teeth and have some much needed emotional relief.

      @@ElectricTeeth well, there are two versions. The expensive ones are thicker, more durable. But the thinner ones are less expensive, and in my opinion, better. I have a full set for 500, top and bottoms. And the other ones were 900 for a full set. You are supposed to take them out often, not just leave them in. So going on about bacteria and things like that, shouldn't even be a point, cause they are not supposed to stay in like that, without proper cleaning.

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  3 года назад

      Thanks for your comment. Agreed, they are supposed to be taken out often. However, it would appear some do not from our research. They like their improved smile that they get with these, therefore they keep them in for longer than is advised.
      When buying the thicker versions that you can eat with will lead to food particles getting into the veneers. If the user does not remove as frequently as they should and have a good oral care routine then this can be an issue.

    Let’s say you’ve got little to no actual teeth left and you cannot afford dental implants 🤷🏻‍♂️ you can literally pay a dentist to remove all of your remaining teeth and get properly fitted for both bottom and top dentures and it will cost you less than half the price of these plastic teeth.
    Why on earth would anyone with a brain not want to do that?!? As opposed to spending 1k online on a product that you have zero idea about and won’t even know what it looks like until it arrives in the post??

      You have to be kidding me.
      And please before you reply please understand it’s ok to be wrong. It happens.
      Now your statement is absurd.
      Obviously depending on where you live and assuming you have no dental coverage it will cost anywhere from $50-$150 per tooth just for extraction. And for the most inexpensive dentures money can buy will cost anywhere from $500-$1500 for uppers and lowers.
      So let’s do some math.
      Let’s say someone is literally missing half their teeth (and that’s a extreme case)
      16 extraction $75 per extraction = $1200 +
      Dentures = $750
      = $1950 at the very least
      Snap ons $1000 max.
      So how again would snap ons be more expensive?
      Maybe exaggerating?
      Now let’s see if your big enough to admit you wayyyyyy exaggerated?
      No buts,,,, or , ifs.
      Just a simple “Dang, didn’t realize, my bad”

      @@FOPAudits ok my American friend, prepare to be amazed….
      Firstly, I live in the UK where our medical treatment plans are the best in the world and far, far outweigh the ridiculous costs imposed in the US.
      There are 3 NHS ( National Health Service ) charge bands for dentistry:-
      Band 1: £25.80
      Covers an examination, diagnosis and advice. If necessary, it also includes X-rays, a scale and polish (if clinically needed), and planning for further treatment.
      Band 2: £70.70
      Covers all treatment included in Band 1, plus additional treatment, such as fillings, root canal treatment and removing teeth (extractions).
      Band 3: £306.80
      Covers all treatment included in Bands 1 and 2, plus more complex procedures, such as crowns, dentures and bridges.
      I rest my case. Now please reply and admit you were ‘wrong’ 🤨

      Yes, but there’s a snag. You try getting a dentist who will take on NHS patients and you have no chance in the UK. And why? Because 99.9% of UK dentists are greedy bastards who don’t care about oral and dental health as long as it lines their pockets. End of.

    So where is your proof to back up your last "con" claim? As they say, bold claims require bold proof... I suggest you make a follow up video with said proof...

    • @ElectricTeeth
      @ElectricTeeth  3 года назад

      This con is based on the same data and experience that dental professionals have of those who wear clear braces over their teeth. The oral hygiene routine has to be great for those who wear clear braces as it does for those who wear instasmile. Failing to do so helps create an environment that can lead towards detrimental outcomes for the teeth.
