How to shake... Apricot Sour Cocktail

Any excuse… we made Stewed Apricots and were left with the most delicious, slightly spicy apricot syrup so we just had to develop this cocktail that is a loose twist on a whiskey sour. We also thought we would add a stewed apricot to the drink to increase the apricot flavour which brings us to the question… did we make the stewed apricots for the cocktail or because of it? Anyway... like we said, any excuse for a bit of fun.
