Two amazing riders from different generations. Carmichael being 40 now looks great and could likely lay down some serious lap times I’m sure. Tomac is quite amazing too with incredible talent and stamina. Both riders have worn out the edge of two different couches in my living room over the years.

Tomac is really fast, but Carmichael makes it look good, while still being fast. RC has a very unique style

Here is my question, I’m not a newb to this sport I raced from the time I was 4 till I was 17. From 50’s to 125 all 2-
Strokes. If such a large portion of people claim that 2-strokes are faster than 4-strokes. Then why did all the manufacturers go to 4-strokes ? What was the motivation? Personally I don’t think the 2’s are faster than the 4’s
They're not faster. 4 strokes have around 10hp more than 2 strokes. They also moved the switch for more $, costs a lot more to repair 4 strokes than 2 strokes

Tomac took it on this one. He was substancially more on the throttle than ricky. Thats how you keep a 2t fast is wound up high in the rpm and the powerband. Eli just cant be stopped. Congrats btw on the championship eli!
Yeah he's an absolute beast! but to be fair RC was mostly shown riding the supercross track so he wasn't gonna be able to ride wide open like ET on the outdoor track
@Fred Wilkerson no one said other wise... I think that's pretty clear. All that was being said here was about the clips shown in this video, not who's better, so don't make an issue where there isn't one
@Fred Wilkerson RC is retired, eli is far from it and catching up to RC. Eli has his own titles of his own that even RC doesnt have. Ricky was good but he got out of it, he didnt stick it out to start seeing a decline like chad reed. Its sad to see reed barely make qualifying or wind up in the LCQ for a chance. Ricky didnt want that downward descent clout so he got out. Eli is only like 23 or something, hes still got a ways to go and a long time to leave ricky in the dust.

I know why they don't let 2 strokes in Supercross. Because 2 strokes are way too fast and powerful and they think it sounds weird.

Not sure why there's even a comparison. Carmichael's 14 years retired. Tomac was, and is, still relatively in his prime. Change that "VS" to a "&" and the title makes sense.
Now, if you want to try to compare, there simply isn't any comparison. Look at their competition, and look at what they did. Nobody's close to Carmichael.

Can't really compare. Tomac is running his KX @ 5500 ft elevation. Ricky @ sea level. Race @ Colorado Tomac will win. Go down to the ranch in Florida... Tomac still smokes him.
