No joke man! THAT makes it more incredible! Respect to a smaller guy like that who’s constantly taking hits and and holding on to balls for first downs and TDs. I guess that’s how he got that name. Rehabbing injuries really sucks, and sometimes it sucks the fun out of it completely. I just hope dude is alright. He’s young.
Compound fracture/knee dislocation for sure, hate to see this Edit: reports are a kneecap dislocation and perhaps more, aka what a lot of people online were saying. You don’t have to be a doctor to know roughly what type an injury is based on the replays.
Prayers for him 🙏, I’m wearing his jersey every game until he returns, he’s my favorite player and it sucks what he’s been through, he broke his fibula, he got shot in the off-season, and now this, I went to the game vs Broncos last year

This is so sad. His big injury last year was against Atlanta I believe. In both cases, he was accidentally injured by one of his own teammates, falling on him. I’m not sure why we had two receivers within a couple of feet of each other in the end zone today Against the Chiefs. The irony is that it was Jared Wayne who accidentally fell on Tank. Wayne has not caught a pass yet in the NFL but was activated prior to this game from the practice squad.
It’s the NFL and you have no idea how fast all of those players are moving. When you put it in super slowmo It looks obvious that the player shouldn’t have done that but When you’re running 20mph it all happens in 10ths of seconds.
@@Motor-City_Ben-Diesel1. He not moving 20 mph fast. that's really fast especially for a wr of his caliber 2. As an NFL player you should have trainibg to react on the go in the best way, his decision to dive, just cost then a teammate and potentially future games
Chiefs fan here. Pray for Dell, never wanted that to happen to anyone, especially a player coming back from season ender this year. We know what it means to lose a receiver from friendly fire.
What a heartbreaking injury. Held on to the ball through the process. Tough and talented player. 🙏🏻 for speedy recovery. Potentially career ending sadly.
What a horrific looking injury. His ability to make this catch and hold on to it is simply amazing. Hopefully this was a clean break with no ligament or tendon damage. If so, the recovery may not be nearly as bad as the injury itself. I certainly hope this is the case and wish him a speedy recovery and long successful career. Best of luck to the Texans moving forward.
just wanted to make sure you knew how helpful replaying that clip of him throwing it half way because i wasn’t sure if i fully understood the play thanks
There is nothing else to really see , this video shows everything , Dell was then surrounded by team Dr,s , team mates and then eventually carted off .
Yeah I saw it pop out abd i went holy shit hes done I thought it was only his knee but it was a compound fracture with knee dislocation basically fractured the whole leg/knee
He was diving for an uncatchable ball to make it seem like he’s giving full effort. Didn’t have the awareness or Grasp of playbook understand tanks route is also there
Jeff Lynn with the glasses Is the lead singer of electric light orchestra. A very popular rock band in the'70s. Steve winwood was a popular singer in the '80s and is excellent organ player. He's on the organ
Mahomes dislocated his knee cap in '19. He came back after a few weeks off and they won the Super Bowl. I didn't see any "bone" sticking out. If there wasn't and there are no torn ligaments or tendons (a big maybe), don't know why it'd be impossible for him to come back.
The Texans seem not to care very much about Tank Dell because they keep putting a player that weighs less than 200 lbs in dangerous situations time after time. And Dell did not "attempt" to make a catch, he made it. Get some glasses for Christmas.
I don’t think the Texans put him in a dangerous position. The other receiver should not have been anywhere near that ball. He was a practice squad activation that was out of position.
Dislocated kneecap. Same injury that Mahomes had several years ago. Sometimes that injury doesn't tear any ligaments too bad and doesn't do any serious cartilage damage (like Mahomes, which he came back from in a few weeks). Other times it can cause bad cartilage damage and fully torn ligaments (MPFL and/or MCL) that need reconstructive or replacement surgery (season ending, sometimes even career ending). Prayers up that his is on the less serious side.
This injury is why teams with locked in positions should be sitting their best players. The Texans already know they will be the 4 seed or maybe by some miracle they will be the 3 seed. The difference between those 2 seeds is inconsequential. In both cases, you play in the first round at home and the 2nd round on the road. If they had something to play for, like the one seed or even the 2 seed, I would be more sympathetic, but the brutal truth here is that Tank Dell should have been on the bench where he would not be risking this kind of thing. Same goes for CJ Stroud and pretty much all of their starters. By the way, the Texans also had one or 2 offensive linemen get hurt. So, thanks to their idiotic attempt to show the world they can beat KC, their playoff hopes are gone. Collins is nice, but pretty much any playoff team can shut down one threat.
Thx for needlessly replaying the pass. I couldn’t tell the 1st time whether someone was running the f**king ball or not. Compound fracture. Not graphic. It happens when your teammate rams into your fully planted leg at full speed.
This is why I don't begrudge these guys getting as much as they can, as fast as they can, while they can. Every player is one play away from a permanent disability.
Stroud saw how bad it was. He was bawling bc Tank is his best friend and he knows it’s a highly probable career ending injury. All those guys down there were crying. The man’s bone was sticking out of his leg 6-8”!
I stg the chief’s black magic is drastically in need of a witch hunt against the entire roster, and investigate the staffing, fans and field. This is ridiculous!
Fortunately, this looked worse than it is. It's a knee cap dislocation, no ligament injuries have been reported as of yet. If it's only a knee cap dislocation, he likely can still play this year after a few wks. Ofcourse, assuming MRI is still coming to see what the extent of injury it is.
Good video but how can you say it’s a meaningless game for the Texans? Sure they clinched their division but they’re still playing for seeding against the Steelers and Bills.
