Not skin related, but great idea: I live in the northeastern Vermont sticks and my therapist suggested getting out and about to see people once in a while. My plan is to drive a couple of hours to Burlington area where I know there is a Costco and I'm just going to browse around the warehouse for a couple of hours, get myself a cheap lunch there, and maybe a sweet treat, before heading out to roam Church Street and Lake Champlain surroundings. Thanks for putting that idea into my head, Dr Dray!

As a nurse retired two decades I must say I appreciate the news about Neosporin. I recall we had impregnated Vaseline sterile gauze but rarely used it in our urgent care center. We put Neosporin on nearly all wounds and before gloves became recommended guess who got sensitized to Neosporin? Yep, me. from constant contact with it on my fingers. For months the palms of my hands itched, I had no idea why (no rashes) until I had allergy testing and it lit up like a Christmas tree. Took months for that test site to recover. From now on, it will be Vaseline.

Thank you for sharing your trip to Costco 🛍 I don't like wearing liquid Foundation either - I've been wearing a loose Mineral based foundation for 15 years 🥰 Take care everyone 🌹
Foundation genuinely feels awful on my fingers & face. And I really feel awkward if my base makeup is visible (a bit silly, I know). I couldn't really do a base layer I liked until I discovered bareminerals tinted moisturizer two years ago, definitely my holy grail!
I'd love to see a collab where you work with a makeup creator to identify cosmetics that are extra protecting in severe weather? When people talk about skincare in makeup, i rately hear about occlusive protectants, but I've discovered that the tinted lanolips balms & lippies work great for that, and surprisingly the tarte maracuja juicy blush - Im guessing the wind-protecting star there is the waxes not the oil lol! I also use anti chafing powder gel as an "after primer" in this weather (it's too thick under makeup, but smooths skin & seals everything under an occlusive layer - 2% dimethicone). Would love to have some guidance from the pros tho, my only real "need" in the beauty category is a few more options for Yukon type weather. Last couple years, it looked like i aged 10 yrs overnight, so im on top of hydration & occlusion & ofc spf!!! It is -40F and pretty bright and sunny lol ... My main exposure is when driving, only my eyes are visible when outside haha 🌬️🌬️🌬️
Been trying the Neutrogena Water Cream for the last week. It is the first facial moisturizer I can use with urea and/or amino acids. I have rosacea and pale extremely sensitive skin. I love this cream! 10 oz jar would be great to have! I use it every morning under sunscreen and my face stays hydrated all day.
The urea is so far down on the list, I wonder if there is enough to benefit the skin much. I've become a lover of this ingredient over the last couple years. My favorite so far was another Dr. Dray recomendation ZEROID Richenic Cream with Urea 5%. Completely evened out my rosacea and other skin discolorations.
I am prone to mouth sores and the only two tooth pastes that work for me are the good old plain Colgate paste as well as the Crest one. The most basic ones, the ones I call "bottom feeders" because they are always at the bottom of the shelves and are the cheapest as well. My dentist told me about this and it has been a game changer for me.
@@mikee8734I have it and it’s a body moisturizer, it says for use on body but it’s the best body cream I’ve ever used, super thick and absorbes into your skin super well
The cetaphil moisturizer is so thick and absorbs really well into the skin, I also like the cerave cream, I use it on my upper arms along with tretinoin to try to get rid of my kp as I read somewhere that moisturizers with glycerin, ceramides and HA can help along with tretinoin.
Petroleum jelly contains mineral oil aromatic hydrocarbons (MOAH). Many MOAH, mainly polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH), are considered carcinogenic.

I recently bought the Neutragena Hydro Boost cream from Costco. I haven't used the previous version, so can't compare the two. But I really like this one. It feels great, light but very moisturizing. It absorbs well and best of all....no fragrance.
The new hydro boost leaves my skin with tiny little bumps like a mild rosacea flare up. I loooooved the old version. I think the urea in the new version is causing slight irritation
