- The legendary Queen of the Amazons Hippolyta has arrived and I hope you will welcome her with the great energy insuflated by her epic warriors, the Amazons.
It's been a long time since I wanted to write a theme for her, not only because she is a powerful warrior and a symbol of female empowerment, bravery and leadership, but because I think anyone can relate to the spirit of rebellion symbolized by the Amazons.
?? Galvanized?? by the awe-inspiring strength and resilience of these fierce warrior women, I have done my best to imagine a versatile, surprising and playful theme made of multiple melodies.
Throughout history, the Amazons have captivated our imagination. Of course, they also have inspired countless tales and legends that resonate through people and time, so I really hope you'll enjoy this last tribute of 2023.

So here we are. The end of the year is upon us, and I wanted to post one last piece of epic music before Christmas.
And who could be more epic than Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons?
I think it's one of the most heroic and triumphant themes I have composed for a Heroin, and I hope it will please your ears.
And I hope you will like my tribute to a legendary and powerful figure, even if her destiny was - like o so many times in Greek mythology - tragic.

I really enjoy listening to this track, you've done an amazing job ! I wish the video was longer.... I'd really love to see more Amazon themed tracks, with Penthesilea or Antiope for example. I really like this war-like, powerful and epic music. Keep it up!

Hi! I just REALLY love this particular theme! So powerful, epic, uplifting and wild. Just so perfect for the queen of the Amazons Hippolyta, daughter of Ares. It's so well done that this might become one of my favorite tracks. Despite her tragic ending, dying by the hands of Hercules because of Hera, I like the fact that you decided to make a theme more "colourful", like to remember her by her strong spirit. Very well done!

Once again, you got it right ; at first I had composed a theme in minor. But when I listened to it, I thought it was too down. Just by switching to major (and working on the structure) made it brighter and I like the idea of keeping her strenght and aura.
I'm currently working on several ideas like Heimdall, Loki, Freyja but it's tough because I'm not sure I got it right with my themes for the Norse Goddesses and Gods : I'm still looking for a more "raw" spirit and a little less melodic, and I'm constently reworking the parts and style :) anyway.

@ I'm doing great, and I'm now very excited to know that Freyja is a work in progress 🤩 in my opinion, I feel like maybe Heimdall might be the easiest of the ones you mentioned, an epic and heroic theme fits him, as a guardian and protector. For Loki something playful could work, since he is a trickster, or something darker/sadder, knowing the destiny of his children. Freyja is a little more complex, though she is similar to Hippolyta in a way, being the queen of the Valkyries. She is the goddess of love and lust, but also war, death and magic, so I think doing her theme could be a real challenge 🤔

I want to note here that Hercules kills Hippolyta only in one version I think .
Well ,I am Greek and I have studied her .In an other version Hippolyta is killed by accident by Penthesilea .
And before her death ,Hippolyta had a son with Theseus because Theseus had taken her with him to Athens .
He took her after Hercules defeated her and the Amazons on his 9th labor .
For me ...Hercules doesnt kill Hippolyta . I dont think he would want to kill her ,not even if they fought .Hercules could spare her life .I choose to believe in Hercule's heroic side because he had his dark side as well but ...I choose the version where Hercules doesnt kill Hippolyta and wins her belt in fair combat .
Maybe Hippolyta wanted to leave with Theseus and the Amazons became angry and attacked the men ( Hercule's group) and the men escaped with Theseus and Hippolyta leaving Themiskyra together .
Haha thats my version of the story .
More romantic but ...not everything has to be dark in a myth.
And I also loved this theme .

Hi!! I have some ideas for your future themes about Greek Mythology🤗
- Erynies: maybe you find inspiration in your Moirai's theme. I imagine this theme very dark, with sinister and scary female voices singing and whispering.
- Diomedes: Maybe you could get inspiration in your Achilles' s theme, also in Oddyseus's theme because he was a very good warrior and intelligent, like Oddyseus.
-Temple of Athena: I imagine in this possible theme the fire cracking, maybe owls hooting and a chorus compose by female and male voices.
- Typhon and Echidna: I think you could try a theme with them together, because they were parents of many of the most famous monsters in Greek mythology like the Quimera, for example

Thanks for noticing the rhythmic switch ; I had composed 2 parts at first, one in 3|4 and the other one in 4|4, and tried to make them match😊
I made the visuals myself with a mix of stock photos, generated pictures from diverse sources and composting ;)
