my sister Joan got home back to heaven I know she is safe I was at mass one Saturday night I felt a warm hand on my right shoulder our Lord whispering in my ear john Joan is safe she is with me. I immediately turned around the pews behind me were empty for six rows no one on my left side could have touched me .it was our Lord who touched me..
My mum so used to love these songs and playlist every time I would play them to her. She would sing and praise and worship God. My mum was 76 and she passed away on 28.08.2023. I miss her so much 😪
I was listening to this song when I was on my knees, crying for my mom’s health. I was devastated because she has cancer and wasn’t doing well at all. God talked to me through this praise, and when I opened the Bible, it was Psalms 27. God confirmed that we should just wait on Him. We still need a miracle, but now we have faith and praise while we wait! My mom is a woman who follows our Lord’s words, and I ask you to pray for her health as well. Her name is Maria Juracy and she has a serious Lymphoma.

I often thank God for the ministry of Bill & Gloria Gaither. Their songwriting would've been enough, but it's because of these videos I became acquainted with the world of Southern Gospel music. As a liturgical Christian living on the west coast of Yankee heritage, without them I would likely have never been blessed by the likes of the Statesmen, the Cathedrals, the Happy Goodman's and many others, nor would I have come to love and respect talents like Vestal and Howard Goodman, Jake Hess, James Blackwood, Glen Payne, Rex Nelon, Hovie Lister, JD Sumner, Bob Cain, George Younce among others. This song always leaves me in tears, tears of both grief for lost friends that I have never driven met and gratitude for them, their music and what it has meant to my life. I have been truly blessed by this music.
I still remember the Homecoming Concerts I have been fortunate enough to attended, but none more so than what would've been my second. It was in September of 2000, and I was particularly pumped because Bob Cain was among the artists scheduled to appear. His song "One More Valley" on the 1996 video Sing Your Blues Away had particularly blessed me and I was really looking forward to seeing him in person. I actually had my tickets in hand when I learned that Bob had passed at the young age of 61. It was August 30, mere weeks before the concert, and it hit me like a ton of bricks. Here I was at age 44, grieving for someone I'd never met as if he was family. That's the beauty and the legacy of these videos. They bring together God's people from all traditions and walks of life into the family we were meant to be. I almost skipped the concert, but in going I also found healing in the tribute and the music of the artists that did perform. I'm so looking forward to getting home, finally meeting these saints that have gone before and adding my tone to that ultimate melody that can only happen "when all of God's singers get home"
Great words! It is through the Gaithers that I too have found SG Music, and love it!! I grieve for Vestal, and can not wait for the day I meet her. I love Connie Hopper and have had the privilege of meeting her.

Words straight from my heart that you spoke ! Southern Gospel music/singers helped me in my walk with the Lord !!! My brothers and sisters in Christ ! I was driving one day 30 min. away from where I live I
and the Lord put it in my heart to pray for Dottie Rambo , not knowing what to pray for I prayed the Lord to meet Dottie at the point of her need , cover her with the blood of Jesus and build a hedge of protection around her then went about shopping for 4 hours and headed home , as I was about half way over the radio it was announced Dottie had been found on her dining room floor just in time to get her to the hospital ,any later and she wouldn't have been rescued , I pulled over on the shoulder of the highway and cried in relief and thanking the Lord for laying it on my heart to intercede for her in her time of need , I loved Dottie Rambo , she was a down to earth person, one who understood pain , personal and physical !!! You take Bob Cain, George , Glen , Jake, JD Sumner , Vestul and Howard and Rusty Goodman, they helped me with my walk in Christ ! Gone but not forgotten !!!!!!!

Agreed, what a hope. I found the artistic representation very cool, as they demonstrated how music can stir up faith. The negative influences of this world are designed to make our heart sick through emotional & physical pain resulting in a given person turning to music as one source of comfort to the body. The painful realty of this existence gives rise to the birth of music in two forms, earthly & HEAVENLY. Earthly music speaks to the experiences of this world through the singer-song writer’s eyes. Oftentimes drug use (i.e. alcohol, smokes, marijuana, cocaine, opioids, benzos and propofol to name a few) is intertwined with the survival of an artist to deal with the pressure of performing in order to stay relevant in the music industry, and to serve as fuel for creativity. As a result, music celebrities develop a tendency to sin against their body, through excessive drug use, for not measuring up to or to satisfy the demands of their music. Any earthly joy they experience is darkened by the heavy burden of performing and the loss of privacy.
The end users of their music become fans because the lyrics are relatable and the sound of the singer’s voice & rhythm helps them cope with the pains of this reality. Unfortunately, this band aid approach is only a time out from the hurt and in the meantime we are fortifying its wall with painful memories waiting in line. Who can save us from wounds that are silent, wordless and cruel all the while tearing us apart inch by inch on the inside, which could radically accelerate the demise of the human body? I will use caps as emphasis to show the honest reverence for GOD'S SOVEREIGNTY when writing about HEAVENLY music in the paragraphs below.
That INVINCIBLE DIVINE be our HEAVENLY FATHER, WHO THROUGH HIS SON’S MISSION HAS INSPIRED believers to write songs that sing of HIS LIFE GIVING LOVE to deal with emotional & physical pain, economic instability, mortality and the emotional instability of others with the motive of winning over souls for HIS KINGDOM. The melody & theme of HEAVENLY music is hateful and intolerable to the devil, a spirit which causes us to be blinded of the effects of sin and is responsible for the woes of this world such as melancholy, anguish, tribulation and trial. These agitations of the soul create a heavy burden for the lost and could lead him or her to be hostile of songs that sing about GOD’S GLORY. This makes it clear that we cannot win the spiritual battle by our own strength. Moreover, on earth the devil has no equal.
GOD has provided us with the ONE WHO CAN AND WILL LIFT the heavy burden of sin's guilt from a given sinner's heart if he or she (through faith) would open their understanding to Psalms (starting with the focus on Psalms 51:1-10 KJV), and hymns/songs giving praise to HIM for the purpose of being persuaded, converted and healed by the HOLY SPIRIT from within by transforming your body/temple into a meeting place for you and the KING OF THE AGES to commune as friends through the born again experience (repentance manifesting itself in a changed life). It is only here that the fears of tomorrow will diminish, the blessed assurance is given that you are HIS and HE LIVES. Once the blessed assurance is known in prayer (through the confession of wanting salvation from one’s sinful nature, combine with admitting that JESUS CHRIST is LORD and believing in one’s heart that GOD raised HIM from the dead to deliver us from sin's guilt) the world can never take it away because the world didn’t give it to you.
Just trust in Him always , never give up . He is our best friend , He loves us . Amen .

I wrote Revelation Song 🎵 in the fall of 1996. I had been diagnosed with Hepatitis C and also at the same time I was studying the Book of Revelation. Finding God's grace in this dark time was a blessed consolation!

Thank you Charlotte for this beautiful song. I heard it for the first time last year, when I had no home. It's been in my head and my heart every day since. I can't get enough of it. I used to sing gospel music and this arrangement by the Gaithers sounds like what our little country choir of 15 seats would have sounded like.
