2001 Antarctica trailer

Here is a short version of the video that I created from the footage I took during my trip to Antarctica in February 2002. We left out of Ushuaia at the southern tip of south America on a Russian Ice Breaker. We had two days of crossing the Drake Passage then four days sailing in Antarctic waters.
This was the first trip that I had taken out of North America and some of my fellow passengers remarked, "You picked a big one" for my first real foreign travel.
I really enjoyed the stark beauty of Antarctica, and I was surprised by how much wildlife was there. From all the birds, including some 100,000 nesting penguins at Brown Bluff, where me made our first landing on Antarctic soil, to the seals, krill and other wildlife.
