As for what the US gets by crippling Europe- it turns it into a colony dependent on US vendor financing, buying (sic) US goods and fighting US battles for it. That is the value of a colony. This is what the US gets. It also finally entrenches the old europe split from Russia and so ensures a larger european bloc cannot emerge with Russian resources at its core- a fearsome prospect for the US, and why the US has maintained a Russia-hostile footing in europe (through NATO) since the last world war.

About skilled foreign labor. When Lenin realized, that Communist dictatorship, he and Trotzki installed in 1917, was sinking country in despair, he reverted their Socialist economic model to Capitalism! Soviets sold ailing industries and farms to German and Dutch industrialists. Within 2 short years Russia had goods and produce in good supply, Russian people had good paying jobs, machine shops were stacked up with modern machines and equipment. Russians were learning technical skills. Even Universities had foreign professors, giving an intellectual start. After killing and exiling most of Russian intellectuals, Lenin realized, that without them, country wouldn’t survive. When Lenin died in 1922, Stalin reversed New Economic policy to old Bolshevik’s terror. Foreigners were expelled, without monetary compensations.

I'm afraid to say that the EU & NATO may cease to exist after this is all said and done. Also, after 1989 NATO has outlived its usefulness and has become a BLIGHT on the world stage. Too bad Gorbachev and Yeltsin did not address this before they discontinued the Warsaw Pact back in 1990.

Most are saying hell no to the draft !! The economy is headed to depression!! Evident you are living a fantasy!!

Turkey should not be allowed in to brics. They should carry on waiting to join eu and their "superior" European buddies, besides they are still in nato

Good point. It is indeed strange for a member of nato to become a BRICS member. Following this line of reasoning, no member of nato should never ever become a BRICS member, thus not france, germany neither england. As I read a few months ago, when things were not so hot, "(...) the BRICS are the future and it's not a salvation table for dying european economies(...)" Yep, europe will face economic death very soon...

Couldn't agree more. It's sitting on too many chairs, and by far is the country known for its hipocracy among diplomatic circles. After all, they are funding Gaza genocide by doing so much trade with Izrael. But the media won't tell you anything about it. Quite the opposite.

2/Rusia could provide Sirya with weapons for expelling US ilegal ocupying troops on sirian territory, stealing oil; and letal air defenses to stop the isr@eli 20 year bombing. Actuallly, is weird, and even insincere by the russians to have denied that protection assets to a loyal allly like Sirya

Here is a question: Will the US empire allow countries to adopt the BRICS alternative to the SWIFT USD system, and still keep SWIFT too? Can you imagine the Saudis not adopting the SWIFT alternative? Can you imagine the US kickinging Saudi Arabia out of SWIFT? Can you imagine the US allowing Saudi Arabia to dedollarize by being a bridge between SWIFT and it's rival? Dedollarization on steroids.

    • @kubhlaikhan2015

SWIFT was set up by European banks - no Americans - but they then demanded a backdoor into it for the CIA, which they got. One of the CIAs main concerns is to make sure they can launder money by suspending all the checks and certification that the system was supposed to impose. So long as BRICS can be corrupted, CIA will be perfectly happy.

Suggestion for Russia: extend the Zaporozh'ye model to the rest of Ukraine and the whole Europe. Explanation: this city never changed hands from U to R, but somehow R found a way to run a referendum there and to include the whole Zaporozh region into the constitutional ammendment. This precedent proves that the war is unnecessary. Just declare everything yours, run a virtual referendum, amend constitution and call it a day. Proceed to Kiev, Warsaw, London and Madrid in the similar manner, count on the local elements to address the constitutional assembly. Then just say that you can't undo the constitution change. The world will be yours in no time. The war is unnecessary.
