eminem and Gambino dropping in december. winter clothes. christmas. no school. going to Hawaii to see my gf. man this is gonna be a great end of the year
What makes this one of the best albums in my opinion is the screen play that you can read along with it. The screen isn't long or complex but it gives the album so much depth.. im not sure how to put it in to words but its an amazing experience to listen to the album while reading the screenplay, while it perfectly matches what your listening to with what your reading at the same time. Literally genius
Flight of the navigator will always be my favorite song of all time and I'm really glad that you liked it and made the same comment that I made when I first heard it
It sucks cause Shawn rated this a full 10 and absolutely loved the album but it's like he completely forgot this album in his top 10 albums of the decade and acts like he just completely disregards this album in general
I wish he showed his reaction to the most fire lyrics in the album "Man is a star, bound to a body inside of me. 20 million degrees burn a man to his knees."
Didn't realise you hadn't listened to BTI. I think it's one of the best hip-hop albums of the decade. ...btw, Bino's next album is titled "Awaken, My Love!" not Me and Your Moma. That's just the first track from the album.
You might know this by now but the reason for The Library is to fit in with the theme of circularity. Clapping For The Wrong Reasons, Chicken & Futility and Because The Internet all follow that theme of circularity. The ending leads perfectly into the beginning, making it an album that you can listen to cohesively on loop. You can listen to it over and over and every single song will always flow seamlessly into the other. Including Track 19 into Track 1.
Donald (Gambino) produced all these songs (except one) with a few extra, most notably, Ludwig Göransson who also produced a majority of the songs along side Donald.
+boi if you boo me, ima boo boo on you In the album credits both Bino and Ludwig produced the majority together. Buddy is right they had the occasional person come in like Thundercat, but most production was Bino and Ludwig.
Nakiado you phrased everything except for the very final thought as if donald did a vast majority of it all completely by himself, sans Ludwig Göransson
It's so funny watching this and theneedledrop's review of BTI after one another. Shawn is so amazed by the production while Anthony doesn't dig it AT ALL
i hope you treat Ab Soul the same before his next album comes out give a listen to Control System pls => edit: it blows my mind the guy who produced this album also produced black panther original soundtrack 😲🤯

One of my favourite albums of all time. It’s such a multi-genre album💯. Another album that I would recommend if you’re a Madlib listener, check out “Yessir Whatever” by Quasimoto the bad character alter ego of Madlib
one recommendation idk if youve seen a lot ive got is Jazz Cartier's tape Marauding in Paradise. From toronto and the tape got him a lot of attention last year. The tape is really trap-inspired but he still manages to come through with bars on serious shit and some bangers, it does a really good balance. also really sad to still see no MF DOOM. Keep up the great work b im loving it, its an amazing feeling to see someone listen to some of your favourite albums of all time and enjoy it as much as you did

I've probably heard this album all the way through 100 times and I still react to it like i've never heard this shit haha this album is fucking amazing
So there is a whole screenplay on this whole album that makes everything make more sense, a secret track to, also Glover produced all of what is on this album. Also Camp and BTI goes together, and a short called clapping for the wrong reasons.
I don't think I saw a comment who actually mentioned it but there's actually a screenplay that he wrote along with this album. You may or may not google it sometime seeing as you really liked this album. I also saw your review of Awaken! My Love. Your reviews are almost like I'm listening to the album with you haha. Great content. But the screenplay is super dope. It's written to be consumed as you listen to the album.
So basically, before 2016, Shawn Cee has been living under a rock? In all seriousness, this is my favorite album of all-time, and Childish Gambino is my favorite artist/artistic being of all-time. I know everything about the man's careers, and you probably have gotten to know more about him now that you have listened to him for a while (and listened to Camp before this).

i honestly cant believe critics didnt like this album. one of the best from 2013 for sure.
