PenguinSix is an apolitical guy in a political town who likes to walk a lot. He has hiked over 17,000 miles (27,000kms) in the past six years and is still walking today. He is an American expat who spent the last decade in Hong Kong with his family and is now back in Washington DC, continuing his daily ritual of taking very long hikes around the city catching the sights and sounds of the city while live streaming to share with others. Loved the baby duck (ducklings). They are so cute!!! I am amazed with the biking how close things are. You're in Clinton/ Oama neighborhoods and all of a sudden you're by the Lincoln Memorial. What seemed far off is pretty close by.

Speaking of spiderwebs in the afternoon on the trails here that should not be there, this could be the "newly" arrived Joro spider spinning its massive webs on the bike trails for there are alleged reports of the Joro Spider and their massive webs in Maryland around DC area.

I just thought of this that I always wanted to ask you. Do you have a video of inside the Willard Hotel? I was so surprised when we walked in there. It’s absolutely beautiful. And I’m sure there a lot of history there. Penguin…… just a thought. 😊

Did they change her nick name? Growing up in that time period, I always remembered it being Lady Bird Johnson. It was a nick given to her by POTUS Johnson before they were married. She did do much to beatify the US Highway system with wildflowers and trees, I believe.
May I ask how you keep your eyes in the path when you're swinging the camera from side to side and it looked like you were headed right in the Potomac I actually let out an "AAAAAA"

My brother can navigate around D.C. as you do Penguinsix from Civil War schematics. He says that it hasn’t changed all that much.
Homelessness here in the USA is the fault of many lawmakers in power who neglect to get to root causes of homelessness such as a lack of affordable housing putting bandaids on problem by shifting homeless around, the EVIL acts of criminalizing homelessness in some placess, only having temporary shelters for homeless and the enabling of greedy landlords price gouging rents. There are even people with full time jobs that are homeless. Just one of the reasons why I am ashamed of the USA of 2024 as rest of developed world takes MUCH better care of its citizens and residents through stronger social safety nets, universal singlepayer healthcare and so on.
