I just kept waiting for him to start... um... "growling"... in his sleep. Something else that may be of shock to the class is that one of the skills that is learned in human military service, regardless of nationality or branch of service or job, is the ability to sleep anywhere and at anytime because you never know when you'll get another chance. One last thing. Contrary to what my ex might say, I do not snore. The sounds that I may (or may not) make in my sleep do not sound like a gagging warthog or a grizzly with a head cold. Those sounds are simply what a Marine Tanker sounds like when he purrs.
He was in a deep sleep. Someone banging on a desk would have awakened me. I had a couple of teachers who would slam books next to students who were sleeping in class.
Some of us are even a bit alert when we sleep. I remember waking up in Korea. Not sure if it was the silence or the heat. But I woke just in time to prevent the tent from catching fire. Not the lone example, but the most dramatic.
With all the 'lore' these stories have created around 'Deathworlders', it should be easily explained through the calories burnt living as a 'deathworlder'.
I have the habit of looking more closely at the cover images and I have to say... the two behind him are disturbing. One's eyes are about to pop out, the other is licking something very strange. If they are aliens, they don't even need to show up here... The story itself is good.😂😂
Perhaps he was a very heavy sleeper. Two or three months back I literally slept through an earthquake that happened at night. I only know because everyone was talking about it and asked me if I felt it lmao.
Six feet tall is not average height. Six feet is actually on the tall side. Average height for a man is five feet, nine inches. Average height for a woman is 5 feet, four inches.
Looks like it. My children could sleep through almost anything. I could vacuum their room and they wouldn’t notice. Bounce them in their sleep? not a murmur! Have the TV? on not a squeak. The trick is to make sure there is normal noise when babies are sleeping. Oh! And not so normal noise. 😅 And then of course there is military, sleep on a clothes line, sleep. 🤣😁
I learned to sleep underneath the flight deck of an Aircraft carrier. What would wake me up the fastest was the most scariest sound on a warship, silence.
@@robertmcdonnel1608 This is ironically true, at least for me. While I'm not a servicemen, I do live in noise rich environments that persist at least until 02:00 in the morning. If things were quiet enough, I'd wake up thinking if an End of The World scenario happened in my sleep. 💀
Let me check my bingo card. Repeats itself over and over, tick. "A testiment to human resiliance", tick. Aliens lack basic medical information on humans that would be part of any crew transfer, tick. Just bad writing.
The ai graphic background is of terrible quality, the AI narrator is also low quality, as are the subtitles. This story itself is ok, but the execution is terrible, thereclearly has been no thought of quality control. Sorry but this feels like a money grab with very minimal input. I blocked this channel as I have no interest in listening to more stories of this low quality.
Damn and I was waiting to hear the whole, "Humans can go insane and even die without sleep."

😂🤣😂
It would’ve been a funny if he was snoring and the students were freaking out
Wait 'till they find out that just about everything on our world sleeps in one form or another.
Or that when humans sleep, sometimes they talk, move around, walk, do housework, drive cars, and horribly, sometimes kill while asleep.
I'm human and even that fact scares me.
Wait till they see how cetaceans and turtles half-sleep with half their brain and swallows sleeping while flying
@@SandwichDoggydon’t forget dolphins
@@bearstarpresents2264 dolphins are cetaceans

Wait until they hear about 'sleepwalking'. 😂

I concur.
Wouldn’t he wake up being in the middle of all that chaos? Doubly so with randos putting hands on him and hooking him up to equipment.

wait till they learn that after an amount of time if humans do not sleep they uncontrollably fall asleep or die

@beccabbea2511 yeah, but he is a captain. Speaking from a grunt's perspective, we are light sleepers by necessity.
I slept through hurricane Maria and a 6.3 earthquake. Not completely impossible.😂😂

While listening I was making my bed lol 😆 😂😅
they should have talked about dreaming. eh, another video then eh?
Oops forgot to mention the fire guard had fallen asleep!
Is there any chance we can put the app reading this to sleep and forget to wake it up
Opening paragraphs are a long run-on sentence. It gets a bit better, but the pauses are too short. I didn't finish.
