what is this camera system, and is the same system used from the early 1980s into the early 1990s? was it something that was bought, or was it created on-site from a video camera and portable VCR? i know much later Sony made video 8 and miniDV systems for police cars, but finding info on early vehicle video recording systems is impossible through the SEO spam. anybody know anything that can help me track down and/or replicate an early system? i have a lot of spare video equipment parts...
Local libraries used to rent similar equipment out to patrons. You might try that. There are some old librarians still around. With access to archive records.
Must have been nice to drive along and not have to deal with any douche bag Fast & Furious LARPers flying by, weaving in and out of traffic. And what's this I see, are people using blinkers?
Used to see a lot of dead cars on the side of the road back then, not so much anymore. They either haul them away faster or new cars are so much more reliable.
they haul them away faster. these new blobs are absolute garbage designed to break so they can sell more of them. nobody even likes them, i have no idea why they keep shoveling worse ones on us.
WOW! No traffic!
This was back when traffic was usually pretty light during the night and moderately heavy during the day.
That use to be my paper route before the dome.
Another amazing video, so cool to see all that has changed.
Changed for the worse.
Imagine the people driving by the dome and saying " wonder what they are building" lol
Traffic is so light by future JBLM I can't believe it's the same road...
Future JBLM is just Fort Lewis and McCord AFB…. Joining the two didn’t cause the traffic everyone moving to Olympia and Lacey did.
Amazing, many of these drivers are no longer with us in this world and those that are would be elderly folks.
And even the teenagers driving are almost senior citizens now 😳
Same place, different era

When a VW bus blows by you like you were tied to a tree…

When the air wasn't all that clean....
Yeah but the freeway wasn't covered in trash and graffiti
