The goal is just to have adequate representation from each sub-group or cluster. If you have a cluster that is so much smaller than the other clusters, you must wonder if it is a true cluster, or just a sub-group of another cluster.
Hi, sir. I hope you are doing well and have a wonderful holiday and merry christmas sir! I want to ask a question related to steps of doing two step cluster : Do we have to use CF Tree first for PRECLUSTERING phase before doing the final clustering using BIC/AIC? I really hope you can answer me this time sir :') thank you so much
Hi! In my SPSS chart builder, there is no "grouped scatter plot" option between the simple scatter and the 3D scatter plot. Is there a way to fix that? Or were there updates in SPSS that removed this option etc?
Hi James, I conducted 3 different multinomial analysis for three different diseases and each of them includes 4 subgroups. Now, I have to check outliers for the factor of age, regardless of these outcomes. Should I apply this method or smth else? Thank you!
Sir James, I am trying to plot On Xaxis the repondents belonging to cluster 1 (as I have 4 clusters) , On Yaxis the distance that i have obtained from the the center and in set color i have chosen cluster 1 . is it correct? please help.
Thank-you. I so needed this. You are a Prince!
Miracle 💯
Thank you James! Can you also make a video to show how to do PCA cluster analysis in SPSS and plot it? I've been searching all over the place.
I'm not sure how to do that. If you figure it out, let me know, and we can make a video together.
Very helpful.Thanks a lot.
very helpful. thanks
Thanks.
Thank you very much for the video. Why exactly should the 'Ratio of Sizes' be below 3 or even 2? Thanks in advance for your response.

I do not think so. You should be able to jump straight to BIC/AIC as long as the solution has some face validity.

Sorry, it must be a version problem.

To check univariate outliers on age, just do a boxplot for age. Here are some videos: ruclips.net/user/results?search_query=spss+univariate+outliers
Thanks but I was looking for ways to add regression line to jitter scatter plot when chart builder is used for the plot
I'm not sure about that. Good luck!
Hi, I have question. What if I want to use variables from PCA components for clustering?
Yes, you can do that, as long as the components have face validity (i.e., can be reasonably labeled by a uniting theme/dimension)
Hi, my results after running two-step doesn't show the scatter cluster , it only shows the model summary & cluster quality. What could be wrong?

How to Colour differentiate different PC data in PCA plots (Biplot )
I'm not sure. I've never used a a biplot before. I would assume the process is similar to the approach shown in the video above.
hi, may I ask for the initial data set?

+James Gaskin Thank you very much! Thanks to you I've made a nice practical lesson for a psychology major student I tutor!
Anyone know how to ask for this scatterplot using syntax?
You can see the syntax in the output window, just above the graph.
how to have scatter plot k means analysis
In the SAVE options in the K-means analysis, you can save cluster membership or distance. You can plot either.

That should work just fine.
Actually the plots weren't coming to be that nice , and couldn't conclude much from it. I would be happy to share the graphs with you.
