In Massachusetts, the only time you are required to identify yourself to an officer is during a traffic stop (including on a bicycle). Other than that, even if you’re under arrest do you not have to give ID. Although, it will probably lead to extra charges.

The last interaction. The officer didn’t really do wrong. It felt more like she was fishing rather than him just on a power trip.
In Massachusetts, the only time you are required to identify yourself to an officer is during a traffic stop (including on a bicycle).
Other than that, even if you’re under arrest do you not have to give ID. Although, it will probably lead to extra charges.

I LOVE that police are finally being held accountable by the citizens they should be serving and protecting, since politicians didn't have the balls to do it.
