This review was pretty terrible at describing what actually happened story wise. Definitely feels rushed. Vegeta wasn't hating on Toppo because he thought Toppo threw away his pride, he was hating on Toppo because Toppo threw away all that "Justice" stuff he claimed to care about so much - and Vegeta knows what that's like. There weren't just a few homage's to the Majin Buu storyline, this was more like a culmination of those events. Vegeta thinks about all the things he cares about, including his pride, and realizes that he could never throw ANY of those away, not just his pride. He once tried to throw his family away, the love he feels for them, to be the ultimate cold, ruthless warrior that only cared about power ... just like Toppo threw away the Justice he seemed to love so much, to become a warrior that only cares about survival. Vegeta knows now that those things are part of who he is and tied into what makes him strong. This was a fantastic character-building moment for Vegeta, or at least a fantastic character-revealing moment. You could argue that we've known for awhile now that Vegeta cared for his family, but only now did we see that his family is one of the many things that motivates him to get stronger. He fights for Bulma, Trunks and Bulla as much as he fights for his pride and by the drive to become stronger. We see that his family has become part of that drive.
Just watching it, Geekdom said that he felt the way the story conveyed it could have been better. The thing is about your middle paragraph, I agree completely. The thing is that it was not conveyed like that. i was hoping for a big moment where they showed Majin Vegeta saying that he wanted bobbity to return him to the way he was before. They didn't do that. Like it was there, but it wasn't focused as mush as it could have/should have been. Like Geekdom said. Thing is I feel like what you said was more of an analysis of what happened, which is what Geekdom is not trying to do.
Toppo was at full power lmao, he charged up the biggest hakai he could with full effort and still got demolished while screaming in pain. Vegeta actually won a super major battle on his own. Now I can die in peace.

You know I think Vegeta was training to use Final Explosion with out killing himself all the way back to future trunks arc since he blew up the hyperbolic time chamber not once but twice.Vegeta I do believe was planning to use Final Explosion on Goku Black as a last resort but he never got desperate enough to use it.Where the tournament of power he trained so the attack won't kill if he was forced to use it like he had to against Toppo which I bet he would of rather used it on Jiren.

People moan about the Goku show. Then when it's not focused on Goku they moan. This episode had so much good stuff. So much beautiful development!!! Frustrating. I'm 33, I've been watching Dragonball for years. To see Vegetas flash backs and history and emotion, development was unbelievable. Also piccolo moment against Buu. Why is he moaning about animation. The whole episode was decent. I'm getting more and more angry with this review he's completely played down the emotional moment for Vegeta and his fans. Christ sake Geekdom!!!
Episode 13 misses the two most important story points of the show ( jiren disrepecting toppo , roundhouse kicking goku away to compliment vegeta AND the fact that vegeta was able to punch through hakai energy )
Dragon Ball Super Peeps need to remember Frieza is just as durable as Cell and Buu he just doesn't have regeneration (he survived some gruesome "injuries" that no earthling or even saiyan could survive) and he has a spirit body too which was established in the Buu saga to be way more durable than a living body (that's how Vegeta survived being tortured by Kid Buu despite the obvious power gap at the time).
New theory: remember when the grand priest said that if someone is passed out you have to throw them off the ring, well I've noticed they showed frieza knocked out on the first half then completely tried to ignore him on the second part of the episode, what if the writers are trying to make us forget he's there then everyone gets knocked off except frieza, leaving him with the wish for winning the tournament. ....or u7 loses and gets erased for a cliff hanger
We don't know if he is unconscious or not, hes not still laying in the same spot because he got up and started fighting Toppo in the middle of the episode. Then Jiren blasted him, so he might just be hiding. EDIT: Also, he didn't appear in the stands so we know hes not eliminated
I think geekdom doesn’t really like vegeta... if any other character PUNCHED THROUGH HAKAI ENERGY with ease like vegeta did, he would be freaking out about how alpha that character was. This episode was not “just ok”.. it was one of the best episodes I’ve seen of Vegeta finally showing the power he boasts and not being written off as a jobroni for goku. He’s also shown in blue form again in the next episode so that wasn’t even all of his power...

I dunno, putting a series in limbo is a bad sign. Media usually dies a quiet death during "breaks" with no return etched in stone. I think this rumored movie might be the last of it and it might wrap up the entire story. The notice just came out recently that Super was ending in March. That doesn't seem too promising as far as I'm concerned.
The movie has nothing to do with the storyline in Super all it is, is an origin story for the Saiyan race. And since the top tier animators are doing the movie it makes sense to put the series on "break" unless you'd rather have episodes with declining animation quality or overstay its welcome like Naruto and Bleach's filler did.

I wish their was more struggle and tension behind it. When Vegeta had his yellow ki around him I shook my head and said missed opportunity for the destruction to get close to him like Cell's Kamehameha wave to Gohan. It's because Toppo didn't stay true to his values and beliefs. He threw everything away in order to achieve that power and still lost. Jiren respected Vegeta for the feat of achieving his power while casting aside nothing.

You know what I love about this episode, it gave Vegeta a chance to shine, the episode was based off of him and he didn't get stomped on immeadiately after like in every other circumstance. In this episode, Vegeta stood tall at the very end of the episode.
Finally Vegeta defeats a God of Destruction Toppo. Thevepisode 126 was full of action, good oriented story line with Vegeta sacrificing himself for his family and for Universe 6 sayains. Vegeta had his incredible moment.
One little correction Danny (Great video BTW) Toppo said that he threw away everything to become a God of Destruction and that's what pissed Vegeta off, not the fact that he said that he was beyond good and evil. Another thing too, Jiren and Toppo seemed like they had a plan to separate Goku and Vegeta since they both nodded their heads. Also, Jiren disrespected Toppo and that was pretty important in my opinion.

These reviewers are fucking clueless. I'm a geekdom fan but this is bullshit. Episode 126 is so emotional and beautiful. I'm a massive Vegeta fan. This episode is what he deserves it was awesome. People moan about the Goku show. Then when it's not focused on Goku they moan. This episode had so much good stuff. So much beautiful development!!! Frustrating. I'm 33, I've been watching Dragonball for years. To see Vegetas flash backs and history and emotion, development was unbelievable. Also piccolo moment against Buu. Why is he moaning about animation. The whole episode was decent. I'm getting more and more angry with this review he's completely played down the emotional moment for Vegeta and his fans. Christ sake Geekdom!!!

Dragon Ball Super Peeps need to remember Frieza is just as durable as Cell and Buu he just doesn't have regeneration (he survived some gruesome "injuries" that no earthling or even saiyan could survive) and he has a spirit body too which was established in the Buu saga to be way more durable than a living body (that's how Vegeta survived being tortured by Kid Buu despite the obvious power gap at the time).

I dunno, putting a series in limbo is a bad sign. Media usually dies a quiet death during "breaks" with no return etched in stone. I think this rumored movie might be the last of it and it might wrap up the entire story. The notice just came out recently that Super was ending in March. That doesn't seem too promising as far as I'm concerned.
The movie has nothing to do with the storyline in Super all it is, is an origin story for the Saiyan race. And since the top tier animators are doing the movie it makes sense to put the series on "break" unless you'd rather have episodes with declining animation quality or overstay its welcome like Naruto and Bleach's filler did.

N/A H Toppo could haved easily knocked 17 and frieza off, but he was just toying with them and didn’t succeed in knocking anybody off in that form,hence part of the reason Jiren was disappointed in him, also yea Masako X must be a great reviewer since he’s very knowledgeable about dragon ball👍🏻geekdom too but he does tend too rush

It's because Toppo didn't stay true to his values and beliefs. He threw everything away in order to achieve that power and still lost. Jiren respected Vegeta for the feat of achieving his power while casting aside nothing.

You know what I love about this episode, it gave Vegeta a chance to shine, the episode was based off of him and he didn't get stomped on immeadiately after like in every other circumstance. In this episode, Vegeta stood tall at the very end of the episode.

Finally Vegeta defeats a God of Destruction Toppo. Thevepisode 126 was full of action, good oriented story line with Vegeta sacrificing himself for his family and for Universe 6 sayains. Vegeta had his incredible moment.
