I spent hours trying to figure out how to put my fob back together. It was so frustrating but after watching your video I was able to put it all together easily. Thank you so much!
Sir i want to thank you for explaining how to open, remove, replace, close . my key fob needs a replacement battery . i was thinking of going to the dealer . but after your video it looks simple ...I will have your video going as i replace my battery ...enjoy your day sir
Thank you! I appreciated the detailed explanation + the visual. It helped me figure it out on the first try. It seems to me that things are getting more complicated. I miss keys that were just keys. And, frankly speaking, cars that were just cars. :-D
Thanks! Very helpful, clear and reassuring. I am ordering my batteries now that you have shown me the way and I feel confident I will be able to do this without shattered nerves!
I lost the piece of plastic between the batteries when i dropped the fob in a parking lot and it all fell apart. Fob doesnt work now. Is the plastic between batteries necessary?
Mine didn't work after changing batteries. I think that putting the dielectric, as you said, would help, but I couldn't see how you were doing it cause your hand was in the way.
D 51w3mlv7 it is like a light, clear grease and not critical. Our key fob had some from the factory and the next time I change the batteries it will probably be all gone. It helps with conductivity, but again, it is not critical.
D 51w3mlv7 oh, and I almost forgot, make sure that you have the polarity of the battery’s correct. If the key fob was working, it is probably just the batteries. What is your car giving a low key fob battery light?
D 51w3mlv7 You are welcome. I’ve never had that happen, so I googled it. Some suggested trying the 2nd fob to see if it worked. Also info came up about remote start. This may help, www.fordraptorforum.com/threads/remote-start-three-blinks-of-red-light.61858/

Thanks for simplifying my Lincoln MKCs key FOB battery replacement!
Thanks - the dogs barking were a great improv touch!
Many thanks for this video, i finally bought a Lincoln and had this low battery warning!
Nice video. My problem is the silver piece on the end came off and I couldn’t attach it! I had to remove it to put the rest together.
Thank you. That was really helpful

I don’t think that the plastic piece is necessary, but I do not have one of those fobs anymore and cannot look at it.
You're amazing...thank you so much!
you are fun to watch but it didn't work for us but you're funny sitting around a bunch of drunks haha❤

It is blinking red three times when I press and hold the 2x button. Other than that, no light. Thanks for responding, by the way!

I've watched conflicting videos interpreting which way to insert the batteries. My book says "positives together" in case you are conflicted.
Hi Marty! My fob worked fine when I finished. If yours is different, please pay attention to polarity when you remove your batteries.
I cant reassemble the cover,
Thank you 🤝👏✊👍😉
The button is irrelevant. + or - is how you need to orientate
Yes, thank you Tim. I mentioned the button, because of the ease of seeing it.
