so brave testimony, I have so many friends in the club scene who are hooked to it and I dont know whats the best way to tell them... But he just gave me some ideas on how to approach this! Respect

It absolutely does not "bind to the same receptors in the brain that heroin does." Please note that while I don't distrust this man's *experience* with the drug, and his analysis of the *social* aspects of GHB usage sound really plausible, but his science is wrong wrong wrong.

Um, he really lost me when he said he didn't trust studies. So what are we supposed to trust, hearsay and anecdotes? Those are included in the studies. There is a *lot* of literature about GHB, not all of it narc sh*t.

This is so real! This is exactly how the parties look like at the moment. Especially in London. Thank you Nicholas for such a honest talk. Well done and good luck. X

This contains a few confidently stated untruths, e.g. G does not bind to the opiate receptors like heroin does - it rather binds to GABA receptors, similarly to alcohol and benzos. I don't believe “withdrawals” can appear only on weekends (in a period of sustained abstinence), though cravings may well. I would also disagree with the casual dismissal of medical studies on drugs and information on the internet (wholesale) in favor of personal anecdotes. Those are surely valuable, but may well not be as universally true or generally applicable as they can feel to us. With all due respect for his story and his openness, I can't help but get a bit of a vibe of dramatization and showmanship here. That makes for engaging content, but I don't think it necessarily moves the debate on drugs forward.

dude please delete your comment. I’m still addicted to it right now. And you have no idea what you’re talking about. The way he speaks about the drug in this podcast was so healing on me hearing somebody tell exactly what i’m going tru. Only thing what he told wrong. is that it binds on the same receptors like heroin, and you react to it like it’s a bad thing and not trust him. what kind of a man are you.. But i’ll defend him, i know almost for sure that he ment that the withdrawal are even WORSE than heroine. So maybe that gives people an indication of the kind of monster it is to get off..

and by the way show some articles where they state that’s completly normal that every weekend people get in coma multiple times like it’s the same as eating a cookie, and the way you become a monster yourself and how people left you like you’re a dead man when it comes to you if u landed in the hospital. how you suppose to get along with that after you begin to realise what this drug did to you all this time. I’m looking forward my friend. You’re comment get people want to grab the drug again but you don’t even realise what you’re bringing to the party with this bullshit. You owe the man an apologise

Im thinking about getting some and just wanted to be clear is there a difference between GHB GBL? I read that GBL is stronger but makes you sleep while GHB makes you aroused and energetic?

was he sober when blaming Revier Süd Ost for being racist due to his experience? 🤔 GHB is destroying the scene, not only dancers but also the venues who have to deal with the casualties

It's a shame how some venues treat pundits who have overdosed on G or even those who have been spiked

this venue and its staff has mistreated queer people for a long time, regardless of whether or not he was on ghb they have improved their treatment of people as a result of the accusations

i felt being discriminated at RSO twice actually :) its not the fact they bounce you, that has nothing to do with it. but the attitude and the behavior while theyre doing so, is everything. :)
