Congratulations! I had the laps band lost 60 lbs in 4 months and found my Cancer, had I not I'd be dead now! So many people do understand it's not just a surgery that's just the start!❤
girl its so crazy i saw this notif and remembered i commented on your 55 pound weight loss update vlog and i said i went from 335 to 303 pounds without the surgery. im now 218 mf pounds?! thats so wild. the part where you talk about never being fully happy with yourself even after losing so much weight was too real. its so hard to get used to your new body and FACE especially. my face has gotten so slim and hollow and sometimes its like a jumpscare giirrrl. some days im obsessed some days i get spooked tf out. also my smile lines or "nasolabial folds" have become very prominent because my cheeks used to be huge. my ass is flat like a pancake now and my legs look super slim. im 6'2 so im not trying to be THAT tall and lanky af lmaoo. its like i was so insecure being fat now im insecure at this new skinny fat phase. i started the gym and doing weights 5 months into the weight loss from just being in a calorie deficit. trying to gain back some of the muscle i lost!! the loose skin aint it either lmaooo. we got this tho i wouldn't trade how much better i feel physically now than i used to and i can tell its the same with you
Karina, I am SOO SOO proud of you. Health is wealth! Love this for you and your family. Please continue to update us and raise awareness. Growing up I suffered from extreme anxiety and working out/ eating lil health has really helped it. Since anxiety/depression can be linked with inflammation in the body.
Thanks for the update! I am scheduled to have the gastric sleeve on December 26. I am really nervous but ready to change my life, I’ve been on the heavier side my whole life.
@@anab5820 not bad at all the only time it bothered me was when I woke up from surgery it hurt some but they gave me pain meds right after. I got 6 incisions but everyone is different you can get 3, 4 or 5. They do make you walk right away. It’s hard to cough a little. The only thing that was hard was getting use to your bowels because you get bad diarrhea. Everyone that I’ve talked to say it’s hard but it’s all mind set. They said it would be hard with eating because your so use to eating bigger portions but I’m good I get full fast. All my incisions are healed but one it’s getting there. I started my weight loss journey in January of 2023. So since surgery I’ve lost 45lbs in almost 2 months
Queen stuff! I love your video girl, it just nice to see a raw and genuine video, like you said, not everyone is 100% happy with their body. Love you ❤
hi to anyone that’s watching this video contemplating VSG please get it because I’m almost a year postop I will be on april 3 and VSG has completely flipped my motivation, life, confidence, self esteem ON ITS HEAD ! it was the best decision i could’ve made for myself i never hold myself back from doing anything anymore and i don’t OBSESS over food or my body anymore it’s insane pls if ur thinking about it, talk to your doctor about options bc it really does change and save lives ❤️
So happy for you girl, you look amazing 🥰 when your on your health journey it is so freakin hard especially having that motivation everyday can get even harder. But I know it’s worth it and I’m trying to keep a good positive mindset. A Year an half ago I lost over 75 lbs and I gained it all back and my mindset was like oh your good to eat whatever now but the food got ahold of me and messed it all up now it even harder to lose weight. But so proud of you and can’t wait to see how far your journey gets you 🥰🤎🤎🤎🤎
Girl, i remember the video of your surgery day! I had RNY March 2023 myself and lost over 100lbs (SW 293, CW 184) so far. I love your what i eat in a day, workouts, it helps normalize that portions also increase. I feel like the community can be so salty sometimes lol like we are not going to eat 2tbsp for the rest of our lives! My glutes are literally an extended back right now, and omg don't get me started on the pain if i sit too long because there's no cushion left. You got me all excited to try CoPilot #skinnyqueens
I had the sleeve 4/2022 and was doing so well. I lost a total of 60 pounds. March of this year I lost my job and been at home in the kitchen a lot and gained 15 pounds back since then. But I have bad eating habits again. It’s hard for me to get back on track. I know I’ve stretched out my sleeve for sure. You have to have will power going into this. I sure don’t. But I want to try working out (I’ve never worked out before)
I know everyone body is different when it comes to working out but also if your trying to lose weight just start first by just doing cardio and drinking plenty of water and eating a 1,500 calories a day would help lose weight and once your half way to your weight loss goal then start toning your body to build muscle and getting everything tight cause if your doing cardio and toning at the same time we won’t see the numbers go down cause we’re building fat into muscle gain so the numbers can remain the same but your body can look tone if that makes any sense but yes everyone will do what works for them
"You find a lot of joy in food, queen!" Don't I know it I had my consultation for weight loss surgery 3/15 (decided to do gastric bypass) and have been told to start dieting from now until 60 days from now. Thankfully not full liquid or I'd cry, but to start following what I'll have to eat like after, and then we'll be transitioning to the more liquid as we get closer. I've been stressing about what things will be like after, worried about how things will be in the immediate aftermath for pain and such. But your vlogs, among other things, have helped me stay motivated since starting. I'm only four days in, but these are a lifesaver and have been steadily added to a list of inspo videos to keep me going and honest. Thank you :)
i am watching ur video today.. to prepare mysef mentally... i get wls in 2 weeks.. and i am so scared but excited for my new life.. i started at 538lbs now at 500lb and hearing you brings tears to my eyes i have been following you since you started and to see how far you have come is amazing. you might not see this but ..no one really knows our struggles and what we have to deal with day to day with the weight and anxiety and depression and the health issues and the emotional eating people just assume. i am glad i am able to save up enough to get my surgery and hope start saving up for skin removal also.. its gonna be a process but i cant wait . its gonna be hard work but i am ready to fight back for my life. i have been on a liquid diet for 45 days and it has been sooooo hard :( well hope to hear back from you.. please give us a update. if anyone would like to help her is my gofund me
Congrats! You look FAB!! And as you might've said, this is more for health than anything. When I started my journey I used to say "Im on a diet", now I think is a life style, because I ain't going back. And yea I have my cheating days, but the way I feel when I'm eating "Clean" is better than eating some tacos. :)
Girlie, you look so good! You are blessed to have been able to get the surgery and get healthier. Remember you are a child of God and he made you perfect just the way you are. Love who you are, even with a 🤗thicker face.
Thank you girlie! I have been watching you for years and now with your surgery I finally got the courage to do it my biggest fear is not waking up from the surgery and the aftermath of it. I am going to have the gastric bypass in December any words of encouragement? I am so scared 😭
I really wouldn’t recommend it. you’ll never be able to eat a lot of something again and it leads to a lot of mental health issues that people don’t talk about
Omg that's so good.. congrats girl 👏 your looking amazing. I'm now 4 months PO from the gastric bypass . N I know exactly what you mean about trying to eat a whole taco.us being Mexican. I still crave that food but I get full so fast but seem to be hungry more often.. is that normal?
Bariatric surgery was definitely a last-ditch option, but I decided before doing that I would see a weight loss clinic and get medication to help with appetite impression. I'm down 17 pounds in one month and it is training me to say no. Since my appetite is smaller, I can use my brain instead of my stomach to decide when and how much to eat. I don't think my insurance will pay for surgery so I hope this works. I'm so glad you were able to get this done for yourself. BTW your face is beautiful!!! I would kill for your lips and eyes. My niece has a similar look and she is stunning. You are perfect, don't let the jealous haters make you feel bad.
#Karina I had the sleeve exactly 10 years ago this month and I feel you when you said thank God I can finally gulp some water! LOL water is all I drink for many many years now! just remember anything with sugar is just extra calories and puts weight back on! I didn't have a hernia to be fixed and I DID wind up vomiting because I overate in the beginning so when you had that full taco and you shouldn't have I understand that as well! (THERES A LEARNING CURVE) Many times i had said i wish i still had my stomach so i could eat more cuz i just LOVE food but THATS how i wound up almost 300lbs! ugh sorry this is getting long but my point being do NOT rush for the tummy tuck because I have a feeling you're going to keep losing weight like another 30lbs since ur 5'7 I'm only 5'4 and I lost 130lbs! I know everybody's body is different but your body will just stop losing when it's done! DONT rush the surgery girl! Hope u see this muah xo
