Top draw, so many times you get asked for what's important in the data but you've focused so much time on the cleaning, modelling and transforming that you run of steam. This is a very clear way for people to see that the insights portion doesn't have to take forever. I like this

Great Video..Must watch for anyone building dashboards, reports..
We are in a information overload world.. and Dashboard just adds to that problem. For effective decision making it is imperative to communicate your data in a manner that is short and simple to understand for your stakeholders.. and that is where we become storytellers.. every data has a story and needs to be told well and represented visually well..

Hi, great video that really has inspired me in how i present my data to stakeholders. When using this method in excel, do you guys have any tips on making the "results" in the text more dynamic?

Excellent video. Question, while the finished product is an excellent presentation item for leadership, aren't there really 2 different end products here? The 1st being the updated dashboard and the 2nd being the presentation that was created from the insights pulled from the updated dashboard.
Is that the correct way to consider this?
I'm asking because in my current role, what I listed as the 1st finished product is challenging enough to create given the difficulty of aligning with the business on requirements and the updates to dashboard are extremely helpful.
    Thanks!

Yes, there are essentially two distinct deliverables. We often think of this in terms of exploratory and explanatory analysis. Exploratory analysis is the part of the analytical process where you discover your data and try to understand the story. In those cases, a dashboard (like the original) can work well, as it houses many related datasets, updates regularly, and is interactive. But then, once you've found the story, you move into explanatory analysis to communicate your insight to someone else. To do that effectively, you often need to curate something specific for your audience and message-like the summary slide in the video.
Both are valid deliverables, just geared toward different goals.

I like the idea of giving insights more easily, because very often all the information is packed in an overwhelming overloaded dashboard app and the app consumer is quitely stressed.
I haven‘t use the AI description of PowerBI yet. But I am sure that this will be an very nice option to create a kind of landing page with the current key findings.
    Does anyone have experiences?

The final makeover was created within Microsoft Powerpoint. That said, all of the strategies mentioned could easily be implemented in a different suite of tools. Hi, How to create that drop-down slicer "Trainee" in excel...Please do explain...Thanks

This particular dashboard example wasn't built within Excel (the improved summary slide was) but you could achieve a similar result by using an Excel 'slicer'. Assuming the graphs and tables in the report are built as pivot tables or pivot charts, you should be able to click on the 'Analyze' tab and see an option 'insert a slicer'. You can then control which charts and tables are connect to the slicer and the design. Hope this helps
