    Quite something to see a neighbor gamble on jumping 6k on plant pop and having it flattened in August... Yes plot yields go up...no one puts a plot on their worst field...

    If your not 10bu per 1000 seeds planted then you have other areas to work on besides upping populations. Manage what u have before upping seeding rate. More plants take more water more nutrients. It’s all about ROI. Since I was told this we have been backing off population and getting higher yields. It does take certain hybrids though that like to flex. Got to do what’s best for your farm not just making the seed salesman happy

      Good points, we have a population/ROI trial going in this season too hopefully.
