If all you can afford is $299, then buy a used Concept 2 Model B! I have seen ones listed on Facebook Marketplace cheaply enough that you can retrofit a $160 PM5 monitor, and still be not much over $300.

Any chance of doing the Merach r06(399 with coupon) water rower? I did want one of these to just "burn calories", but if I can get it in a full stroke that would be nice. I need it to be quiet where I live. I'm curious to see how you would review it, as you did a great job with this one. They have a slanted one too, at 299(with coupon). Let me know if you can, and I'll hold off on buying.
