Cute hairstyle! It looks like you have 4A/4B hair. I have a tighter curl pattern on the top, middle area as well. As far as the straight pieces, are you sure it's not heat damage? That's what it looks like. It's really minimal though.
You said you hadn't put heat on it in a year but didn't you flat iron it twice when you cut it in a bob? I'm just asking because I notice your ends look like mine when I first big chopped my relaxer off. We have similar hair except I naturally don't have a curl pattern in the front of my hair. It's a zigzag pattern.
this is so similar to my natural hair texture!! people have literally asked me am i wearing fake puffs 😂 but i love this! i filmed a puffs tutorial as well 🥰
I do too and always get clowned by white people for it. I dont care though imma still rock my hair in this style anytime I feel like it. They somehow think they are the beauty standard with that flat dead fur that sits on top of their heads.
Hello.. I have a question and I hope someone might help me with..I am well aware that box braids on a non-black person is put by default under cultural appropriation. But here’s the thing, it is a protective hairstyle. I am middle eastern with a type 3A-3B curly hair that is prone to breakage since it is processed and i wanna grow it out. having a protective hairstyle will save me a lot of hassle in my daily life, and since i have the appropriate hair texture required to have this type of a protective hairstyle, can i still do it? Im not doing it for the aesthetic, i’m doing it for the benefits and the functionality. I genuinely do not want to offend anyone by having it. I am well aware and well educated on the history of black hairstyles and protective hairstyles in general since i’m a hair-nerd myself. My hair needs the protection boxbraids provide for it to grow out in a healthy way
myasar I feel like if you are aware of the struggle black people go through when we wear those styles, and you understand where it originated and don’t give props to the kardashians or a non black person for creating the styles and you can find a black person to support while you get it done then you are good to go! It’s offensive when people wear our styles and put us down, don’t understand our struggles, the hate and even the risk of losing a job etc when we wear them or support non black people to do them it becomes a problem. Also your hair is curly so you understand the struggle of curly hair. Enjoy your style

Omg!!my hair is just like yours ..wavy in some areas..and different patterns...and i always part my hair loke that....it looks straight at the beginning then the back nit straight 😂😂💓🤦
I cant stand how our hair shrinks right after washing it. But, great 👍 Confirmation in your video on using a good leave- in conditioner. N edge control gel . 🪮🪮👡🛍🫧
