'Freight Fest & Semaphore Swansong' Whittlesey, 12th September 2024

With the Fenland semaphores set to disappear anytime and a feast of freight workings(featuring Class 60, 66s, and 69)due on this day, it was time for a return trip to Aliwal Road LC, Whittlesey. As always here there's plenty of tones and close-up action with the passing workings, which all include a colourful mix of passenger services.

Oh, those beautiful semaphore signals on the mainline, truly beautiful. Its amazing they have lasted this long. Some vast variety there Mr Deltic 15 :-)
