    After seeing you guys in Detroit this weekend I had to look up how you pull off such clean footwork with seemingly no effort, makes a lot more sense after the demonstration thanks for sharing, wildly impressive and great show!

    Hell yeah you do this was great in Detroit how much they charge you for those pedals they look like they're better than trick paddles is what I'm told by

    How high do you set up your footblasters? As in, does your footboard hit the trigger a couple millimeters before your beater hits the bass drum, or at the exact same time, etc?

  • @Darkman24

    Killer!

    Do you use your foot blaster triggers on your Roland kit? And is that kick sound on your Roland module? I just switched from Alesis strike pro to a Roland VAD507 and I’m trying to get that classic Roland tm-2 kick trigger sound out of my td-27kv2 module, any tips?

    • @MikeCaputo
      @MikeCaputo  5 месяцев назад +1

      I use the Footblasters on my electric kit, yes. The kick sound is Dan Presland's custom sample that I loaded into the module from an SD card. So technically it is in the module, but I put it in there myself

      @@MikeCaputo also is your promo code for footblasters still valid? I’m gonna be playing with a slam band called Invirulent and I want some on board triggers.

      @@SFUPodcast there is a post in the "Featured" section of the Metal Drummer Nerdz Facebook page with a link to a Google Drive document called Pariah Kicks. The sample is in there.
      Also my Footblaster promo code should still work

    Hey Mike,
    What type of grease or lubricant do you use for your pedals when performing maintenance?

    • @MikeCaputo

      None. I haven't done any maintenance on them in 4 years lol

      @newskool888 Год назад +1

      @@MikeCaputo I mean i don't really here them clicking away too loudly on the Axis footboards when i have monitors in. I was just wondering if there was a way to set them up in way that is much quieter than how they are now. Thanks, Mike.

    • @MikeCaputo

      @@MikeCaputo yeah, I was at the Anaheim show and I could hear something played differently; it was perfectly delivered nonetheless. Also, is there any chance of getting the tabs for the drums on this song? That would be super helpful!

    None of that crap matters if you have size 15 feet like i do. Nothing makes things easier.

    • @MikeCaputo
      @MikeCaputo  Год назад +4

      With practice and proper technique you can play anything. If you're referring to double strokes, I can play them with literally just my big toe on the footboard and the entire rest of my foot hanging off. If you look closely at the end section of this video as well you can see my heels aren't even on the footboard. So basically, you can play them with any size foot as long as you have proper technique and you practice

    • @jklasfjkl
      @jklasfjkl Год назад

      you’re doing the different version of heel-toe if you’re hitting the pedal with your heel. it‘s the „bad“ one where foot size matters.

  • @MassiveDerek

    literally need a higher frame-rate to see your technique lol
