Mais de quatro por cento da população solicitou ingressos para ver o Oasis em Knebworth, a maior demanda de ingressos para shows da história britânica. Incríveis 250.000 pessoas puderam ver a banda durante duas noites - outro recorde - mas, incrivelmente, o Oasis poderia ter vendido outros 18 shows de Knebworth.
2. Acredita-se que havia 7.000 pessoas na lista de convidados
Este número provou ser impossível de verificar, mas os relatos de testemunhas oculares certamente retratam um excesso inigualável de bastidores. De acordo com Roy Wilkinson, escrevendo para The Quietus , "A recompensa nos bastidores dos shows do Oasis em 1996 em Knebworth foi surpreendente. Como o sonoplasta Rick Pope revelou ao Sound On Sound : "O Liam queria o seu vocal incrivelmente alto". Isso significava que os microfones eram tão poderosos que "alguém chegaria a 10 pés de um microfone e você ouviria a respiração deles". O áudio do show foi feito por uma empresa chamada Britannia Row, cuja primeira comissão foi o Pink Floyd em Knebworth em 1975.
4. Os concertos tinham até sua própria estação de rádio

Como Noel Gallagher mais tarde revelou ao NME, ele fez tudo enquanto sofria de gripe: "Quando John Squire veio em Knebworth ele teve gripe, então ficou no ônibus todo o fim de semana ... Ele é um enigma e meio que flutuou diante disso, fez suas coisas e saiu novamente ".
6. VIPs receberam seus próprios binóculos da marca Oasis
Irônico, dado que o círculo VIP perto da frente era o único lugar onde você podia realmente ver a banda sem binóculos. 8. Houve apenas 10 prisões nos dois dias
O que é bastante surpreendente, dado o número de pessoas presentes. Como se viu, os fãs do Oasis são um grupo particularmente respeitador da lei. Ou apenas muito discreto.
9. Noel não lembra de nada
Como diz o velho, se você se lembra do Britpop, você não estava lá. E a memória de Noel desses dias felizes é certamente irregular. "Genuinamente, agora, se eu fechar meus olhos, não me lembro de andar no palco em Knebworth", ele disse a Kirsty Young em Desert Island Disks. "Eu sei que aconteceu porque haviam muitas pessoas lá."
10. Um membro do Oasis acha que deveria ter se separado imediatamente depois
