Just a point of clarification, Montessori is actually a child led method of teaching invented by maria Montessori years ago. A child is given options from what to choose to learn in a day/ lesson. It focuses on nature, hence use of wooden material/toys and encourages real life experiences.
Also for mums considering homeschool, before u do anything, research. Read and read. There is soooo much info and alot of unlearning to do if u are going to teach the kids yoself.
A great reading resource is 102 top picks For Homeschool curriculum by Cathy Duff. She assesses various curriculums giving pros and cons.
Am now in my 2nd yr of homeschool and have found tht having a mentor or people ahead of u in the journey helps alooot.

Hey Erone, you can get a homeschooling group or community near you by just doing a search on Facebook. Or just join the homeschool Uganda Facebook page and network from there. Groups are many and have different ways of handling based in the common need, so you find one that suits you. You can choose a group that is near you, but even groups that are not in your locality can also be great because then u do things like swimming, etc. Basically just browse through and see.
