My Way to Render Beeswax Easy and Fast, In this video I get my drained honey comb and melt it down to clean it out and get it ready for use in other fun bee stuff... So many tell people to boil the water and wax. Thank you for explaining why not to do this.

I just put wax in a pot of water, boil it tell wax is melted, let cool. Wax will float to top. Scrape junk off bottom. Repeat once more and will have a nice chunk of clean wax. Can melt and put in molds. No filtering required.

So interesting. I buy beeswax to make / do stuff and I'm surprised at how much time and effort goes in to refining the wax. For some reason I had assumed that you would melt the wax, filter it, job done. Thanks for the "show".

I didn't understand what you do at 3:32. You filled the bucket with the water and wax and then repeated the process with the wax that was left at the cheesscloth but what did you do after? Did you pour the extra wax in a different bucket and then i order to remelt them both you combined the two "'wax cakes"?

Can I take the wax out when it's semi soft? Or will it retain water?

Can you pour hot beeswax into wooden molds?

Wood is pourous, probably best to place some type of medium between the wooden mold and the liquid wax (e.g. wax paper).
