I’ve never understood the debate. It’s Hank Pym in both stories and he has his “powers”. So it’s his first appearance. That would be like saying Fantastic Four 3 is the first appearance of the Fantastic Four.
Brother I love you, but you are REACHING if you don’t consider Batman 1 the first appearance of Selina Kyle catwoman. Her green dress could be considered a costume. Love the video as always, but I have to say that. You’re awesome still.
But she isn't in costume, no silly cat mask until #3. Also, she is referred to as "the Cat" and only in #3 she is Catwoman. But if I ever get a Batman #1 I might change my opinion ;)
Allan, love the channel and love seeing unusual books you won't see on other channels (also why I like Automatic Comics). You may have discussed this in the past, but I see a number of the books you show off are restored. What is your opinion on the purple label of death - and when you buy those, what price point are you looking for? 50% discount - more, less?
It really depends on the grade the higher the grade the deeper the discount. I buy purple label books because of this fact I want the book but it is even better when it presents really nicely. On super high grades you can get 90% discount over the blue labels.
Even if I had 10k comics I'd still remember what I have and don't have. Just like with hotwheels I have around 2000 of those from late 70s to 2024 and I know what I have or don't have.
