Interesting to see how you recovered from the mast fall, Tony! Lowering it gently to the ground and starting again proved to be the right decision. Good to see you and Karin enjoying a well-deserved BBQ and also encouraging the local wildlife. Another great video, thanks!
I like what you are doing, and doing it well. I like the butterflies. It goes to show that carbon is not killing us, environment needs it and we need to help it, as you have done.
Hi Tony I have refitted several sailboats and have sailed many miles but sitting on my 5 acres and watching the wild life and making my lavender honey seems to be the most gratifying. Awesome job and kudos to you guys for the environment you have created
Sounds like a stressful week Tony but again the results are fantastic. Tapatya is looking mighty fine in the sunshine. Loved the birds and butterfly section too!
Yes Garryck. Hopefully the fittings will be done this week. My epoxy supplier has shut for their summer holidays, but I'll be getting an order in as soon as they're back and then it'll be on to mast #2. I've used about 5L epoxy on this mast!
@@SVTapatya 5! Owww.. I can easily picture it, though.. the dinghy is looking like taking about 12L at this stage. Which is pretty much what the plans say..
"Tony's Outdoor Kitchen" would make a great name for a sidewalk cafe. I am hoping that this heat wave breaks pretty soon. The weather on the coast here in Oregon has been nice and I wish it was possible to send you some cool air. With the work you have left on the masts have you thought about getting four fixed casters and screwing a pair of them to a piece of plywood for setting the mast in. They would act like steady rests on a lathe and let you roll the mast in place. Just a thought. Best wishes for a great weekend. Stay hydrated.
Whoa, almost dropping the mast was scary but, as usual, you pull through like champions!! I always enjoy your nature shots, your plants are beautiful, I’ve done the same here with my backyard, although our climates may be a little different.....the summer months here are brutal, always over 100.
Thanks Nena. Yes, the problem with those sort of temperatures here is that we get a few days and then it's back to the low 20s or less. We never get used to it!
Nice progress Tony the Mast is looking fantastic and the poor focus didn't bother me one bit. Have a good one Tony. God's creation is utterly amazing isn't it? We have a guy in our area who built a butterfly conservatory on the outskirts of our tri cities where I live in Cambridge, Ontario Canada..We use to take our kids to it when they were younger.. its pretty amazing really.
Think a short section of pipe would do the trick between the winch mounting plate and the mast fitting. Maybe even a short length of that stainless pipe you used on the mast, as long as the bolts from the winch fit, otherwise a slightly smaller diameter.
Hello, and glade to see you are that much closer to launch day. I was wondering thoe, if you had wanted to, would it have been plausable to have added a mast tabernacle or size and weight makes it unreasonable to use 1?
Thanks. Yes indeed! I seriously considered tabernacles, but finally decided against it, mainly because I have two masts. If you look at Pete Hill's tabernacle design and construction method, they're very easy to do. Had I had only the one mast, I certainly would have done exactly that!

Thanks Chris. Yes, sometimes you have to take a step backwards to make progress forwards 🤔
A real proper job building the mast. All the stainless bits are going to be the icing on the cake for such a wonderful boat... Cheers.... Joe
Thanks Joe :-)

Thanks Tom. Yeah, just enjoying the planet... and life!
Looked like a prospective hernia while grunting the mast back in position.😳 Good progress yet again liked the mast mount fabrication.👍⛵️
Thanks Norman. Hope to get that finished in the next couple of days...
Nice one... highlander training and all... 😉🙂
:-) :-) Thanks R.E.

Great video as usual 👌 🇬🇧
Thanks Wayne :-)
Congrats on the mention!!
Thanks Tim :-)
Well done, Tony.. getting closer to "one down, one to go!"
The self-propelled flowers at the end were nice, too!

Looking fantastic! Hope to see you joining "Seeker" fairly soon.
Thanks Walter. Yeah, certainly looking forward to being in the water. Whether our paths ever cross, remains to be seen...

Thanks Matt. Actually, I hadn't thought of that; it's certainly a good idea!
@@SVTapatya - Worth doing, even for just one more mast, IMO. I've seen them used on YT, and they make the whole task much easier.
Merci de les papillons, et pour le reste...
Merci Alain!
We planted milkweed to help the monarch butterflys
Way to go!
Good stuff! Thanks
Thank you :-)

Yes, it would! I'm going to do it another way, but that would have been good!
Nice to see progress on the mast, right down to finishing touches. Looking forward to launch time.
Still curious to see how you attach the keel.
Thanks Jim. All will be revealed! 🙂

TeeHee just got the 666th like on this video. 😕😱
Excellent work, John! :-)
