so I never had time to learn any music. Now, I am retired, so I have time to try to express my Soul with Music.
I just hope I live long enough to bring the music that I hear in my head out for the World to hear. With Udio, I truly

Just yesterday I created a nice prog rock song, early Yes style. The main limitation I see at this point is not getting it to repeat a verse or a chorus in an extension. It will repeat the lyrics, of course, but not the melody. The end of the song is barely related to the beggining of it. Well... just like Yes 😂
You make a great point! I tried to get it to repeat a verse too. No luck. I hope they add this soon. It’s still in beta, so we shall see :)
That was my frustration too!
I think the "correct evolution" of a tool like this should be the ability to create segments in the song where you can choose the tracks/instruments. Then in generates the tracks that you can select sections of and copy paste or use to generate more things with the correct context.
Of course the ability to export the song in steams would be a great plus for remixes of the final touches. (tho that sounds as a premium feature...)
Right now there are good IA tools to separate the steams tho. A lot of crazy things are coming...
You can easily do this with SUNO, but then the sound quality is worse… Wish the companies would just merge 😅
We experimented on a cover track for an Avril Lavigne song today and managed to get it to keep the melody on the chorus consistent, if that helps. Try prompting [Chorus] above the chorus lyrics each time you input them
As someone who's new getting into music. This is great. I'm no singer 😂 not yet anyway. And I'm only new to playing instruments. But I still love writing songs. I don't use ai to write the songs. I prefer to make it more personal and meaningful, writing it on my own. But to hear my song is amazing

I was able to keep my song relatively consistent, mostly due to luck. It's a glam rock song called "Snowman's Lament", it's both on RUclips and Udio. I can't wait for more UI improvements like segmented projects. It gets cluttered fast when you need to generate so many clips.

I'm hoping at some point they'll give us more flexibility with us choosing the time to extend from, repeat chorus/pre chorus etc. maybe editing in a flow chart gui would do the job...

You can extend song from specific point by toggling 'Select Section' option. Basically, you select what to save and the rest of the track will be cropped.
As for the chorus you can try to select 'Custom' lyrics and write there [Chorus] tag and your text under it and repeat it several times. You can also add vowels to words and AI will try to 'sing' it longer (e.g. 'mother' to 'motheeeeer'). Oh, and punctuation marks can be used for pause :)
Oh, and when in Custom mode, don't write what song is about in promt, write only styles, years, etc, otherwise generator might fail.
There are several other tips in bottom right corner when you press Extend button :)

I find 30 seconds extend is too little when you click extend its completely different. Interesting to get ideas but too limited atm
I´m trying to figure out how to add a solid extro. It seems that´s not an option...or? In most cases it auto-generates a fade at the end or not even. Does anyone know how to manage that?
So how do you edit the songs? Lets say it has 80s synth drums and I want to keep the existing clip totally the same, but with a pan drum or analog drums?
My question about udio is about the "add section before" and who to cut off pieces that I don't like the results, or to add some guitar solo, for exemplo, in the middle of the music. Can you help me?

Is there much in regards to voice prompts that work?
Example: I tried the female singer prompt and still get male singers.
When i make a song, the ai makes complete different sections for my Song. I want to repeat chorus and so on but AI makes chorus every step different

@@tomrushpresents yes, the words are repeated but the melody and rhythm is off.
@@lylyluvda916 the only other thing I can think of is making sure the spacing is the same between chorus and verses. That has created that dynamic for me in the past.
Am having a hard time generating a song using my own lyrics for some reason when I add an intro when extending the 33s music it just says random things and like skips some parts of the lyrics
is there any way to strip out the vocal track or make an acapella version? I'd like the physically re-record the music portion myself then put the AI vocals back on
If there isn't a way on Udio, there are plenty of AI audio splitters online that will do that for free :)
Koala sampler is good and cheap for stem separation
use audacity for that. They have an Ai that does the separation

@@curtispyketech I used 11Labs last year, and I was addicted to it. Before that, chatGPT, and now it is AI music. I think one of the big ones like Google or Microsoft will have to shake 11Labs, but until then Labs will be unshakable. 🥳
A big short fall is intros and endings that you can add on to the song. This would be best if you could cut and paste them to your AI song. Also a way to put together and edit the song before adding words and singers. A thesaurus and song dictionary might help people write better songs. A drum fill editor and a way to speed up and slow down the song. Guitar editor for adding solos.

Very cool, but the song it generated sounds a LOT like “Lullaby” by The Cure to my ears…that makes me wonder about possible Copyright issues…
I want something like this only for one thing… to sing the lyrics and melody I write for my own songs. In other words, produce a vocal track I can paste into my own recorded music. BECAUSE I CANT SING. It would help my creativity without hiring a vocalist… at least until I’m ready for one.
This is absolutely amazing! I made about 10 songs already, but I can't wait until it becomes easier to create full songs, it sort of a pain at the moment.

I wasn’t impressed w the dance pop songs we were trying to create for our Ai assisted real estate listings side brand as I was w Sona which we 3 maxed out of prompt runs with tonight trying to get the best catchiest song through but will make time tomm to try and get full extended Udio song. i believe it take a lot of tries even using the same tags and similar prompt, but still possible, a dude made a fake pink floyd album with like 10+ udio tracks and managed to keep a fairly consistent david gilmour voice across the songs

This is how you do it! Great song! Combining a DAW like Logic with UDIO is the way of the future (I think). Unless UDIO gets advanced editing tools (eventually). Then who knows :)

yes, click the edit option for your track (where you can also change track name) select the album artwork on this page and click regenerate

I would assume so, doesn't appear to be time limits buttttt I've noticed that tracks start to fail around the 2min mark and get harder to keep fluid

Just type "Christian worship" in the prompt. I made a whole playlist of Christian songs and it is good.

@@Sport-2000also switching to “manual mode” will ensure that whatever genre you type in stays, as when it’s not in manual mode it can change the genre or mistake it for another one

Im going to cancel my weekly subscription, this is ! Ripoff, to complicated unless you put your own lyrics in, it eats up your credits fast, this program should be a program that you just type in the description of the type of music you want played to retaining to perhaps a man and wife going through a divorce and it's all over because the man fell into sickness and poverty and the woman begins to treat him mean right after that you should be able to hit a button that says create and it will write you a full song with no less than 20 lines per song with a chorus and it adds the stall of music to it that you want but to have to go through all the steps and it keeps giving you two at a time of what it has chosen which means that's going to eat up 20 credit and then by the time you go through another format of adding this to it and adding that before you know it's your credits are ate up and all you've got is a superficial mess on your hands know this program should be like other artificial programs that you ask it a question and it prints out everything for you this program is a mess you don't want to fool with it
