  • Tushy.......It's a Bidet
    Why a Bidet?
For one, I like to be able to save money where it makes sense. Toilet paper costs money, which I understand. But if I can invest into something that cost effective (the amount I spent on this is the equivalent to the amount I spend on toilet paper monthly), more hygienic, and good for the environment, I am all about it.
It was jarring the first time I used this, a rush of cold water hitting my bum but I realized, no more stinky butt, no more toilet paper, SAVE $$$$$
    I LOVE THIS THING

And you must have some kind of problem with yourself if you got the time to write a comment like this. My Dad was present completely and was VERY handy. Plus.....I'm a combat veteran. One of the most manly things you can possibly do is serve our country, something you obviously know nothing about based on the disrespect.

@@nicholasdouglas7080 There's nothing wrong with a man bun. Chinese samurai's had their hair up in knots as well, and they could lay you down on your sorry little ass.
And furthermore, there was an episode of home improvement with Tim Allen where he got shit for calling a toilet float a balloon. He later explained to his audience that he called it that so that everyone would understand him whether they were handy with tools or not.
If you think Tim Allen isn't a man, then I'm sorry buddy but you need some help. You're so insecure in yourself that you have to run your mouth on other men to feel relevant.
It's more important to know how to use a tool, than to know what it's called. Lots of people know what a manual transmission is, but not everyone knows how to use it.
Have a good day, and maybe think next time before you make a fool of yourself.

The statement about "killing trees" is uttered from a position of ignorance. All paper companies run their own tree farms. I work security at a major lumber company. What I have learned is how responsible these companies are. They plant more trees than they harvest. If it was opposite they would cut themselves out of business. In my state of Washington, the timber companies have to get permits to harvest their own trees they have grown on their own property. The fact is that a significant amount of toilet paper is made from recycled paper. Again being environmentally conscious.

Thank you for posting a video of the inside of the device!!! It's so cool (and useful!) that you did that! I know you were joking about the Amazon guy tossing the package, but--seriously--this is the kind of quality control issue that makes me very nervous about considering installing a device like this. What some people don't realize is that once you install a device like this and turn on the water source, water pressure ALWAYS will be fed into this $79 product. How much testing has the valve used by this Tushy-branded product been through? Any failure of the valve could cause water to leak at the control box or to spray far enough from the spray head that the bathroom floor gets wet. Now imagine that you are away on vacation when this happens--or even at work or asleep. Depending on how bad the leak is, you could face expensive water damage. I think anyone who installs this would be crazy not to buy a supply line that has an automatic excess flow shut-off valve, such as the SafeFlow brand sold at Home Depot--although those only will work if the leak is sudden and when a lot of water flows (such as when a pipe bursts). Of course, all plumbing requires trustworthy values, so you would hope the valve on this product is designed to last and is of commercial quality, but the fact that its internal hose became detached (as your video shows) is of great concern. Aside from that, other useful posters here mentioned the strange angle of the toilet seat, how the seat hardware might be too short, etc. This is the first bidet product I've studied so far, but I'm just not sure that the quality is up to my comfort level. I'd be curious to know how many owners have experienced all-out-leaks or even trickle-leaks from this unit...

When I sit on it it does feel even, as far as the stress on the bolts, as long as your just a normal bowel movement type person, it shouldn't stress the bolts at all. But if your a mover and shaker, it may wear but it'll take some years for the wear.

Just make sure you have a toilet seat with basic hinges that can tolerate a downward angle after you install the Tushy.
My toilet seat is a Kohler with a "soft close" hinge feature. Guess what? That style has a drop lip on the back of the toilet seat opening that smashes into the top edge of the Tushy bidet. I also have another toilet that uses a Bemis toilet seat with the same "soft close" type of hinge. GUESS WHAT? That one also hits the Tushy when you put the damn toilet seat down! (I know, because I pulled the Bemis seat off the other toilet to try it out.)
And when I go to the Tushy help page for this problem? A) They recommend I might try buying a package of ONE HUNDRED nylon spacers (www.amazon.com/dp/B000FMWULK/ref=biss_dp_t_asn) that is out of stock and they have no idea when they may get more. B) They recommend I buy another Kohler toilet seat www.us.kohler.com/us/Stonewood-elongated-toilet-seat/productDetail/toilet-seats/424429.htm?skuId=391767&brandId=431492 GUESS WHAT? Look at this particular toilet seat and you can tell from the freaking picture on the Kohler web page that is isn't going to work with a freaking Tushy either!
Bottom Line: Yes, apparently you can install a Tushy in 15 minutes IF you don't mind not having a freaking toilet seat on your toilet. Until you find one at Home Depot/Lowes/Ace Hardware and then come back home and.....oh, never mind.
