    *Why is Undone a bad perk?* I think it comes down to 3 main reasons:
    1 - The first and most obvious issue is that this perk does literally nothing if Survivors don't miss skillchecks before the endgame. Against most Killers that aren't Doctor, skillchecks are typically fairly easy to avoid for decent Survivors. Even if you do play against newer Survivors that miss skillchecks frequently, there's MANY perks that are way more punishing towards them than Undone.
    2 - In terms of effect, Undone doesn't even come close to other regression and stalling perks that have far stronger effects (like Pop) or trigger more consistently (such as Deadlock). It doesn't matter how good the rest of your build is or how many times Survivors do miss skillchecks, it's almost guaranteed that you would be better off with a different 4th perk.
    3 - The fact that Undone blocks the gen actually hurts its regression potential. For example, if you kick a gen with 9 stacks of Undone, you will inflict about ~8.1s worth of extra damage but also lose about ~2.25s because the blockage pauses the regression. This means that unless Survivors are trying to jump back into the gen immediately, the blockage serves basically no purpose other than to make the perk worse.

      Otz, Do you think that BHVR should stall off on new releases in order to fix the already existing issues like maps,add-ons,perks,kits ?

    • @antoninbertin-denis9545
      @antoninbertin-denis9545 4 месяца назад +16

      Maybe to fix the blocking issue, maybe we could make the gen being blocked only when you tap it, just like No way out, and make each skillcheck giving 5 stacks, to make us getting to the cap quicker ? It wouldn't be as efficient as pop or deadlock, but it could be at least worth it... Thoughts about that ?

    • @Oxygen1004
      @Oxygen1004 4 месяца назад +4

      How would you buff/change the perk?
      I think making it give some combination of a stack every missed skill check/every great/every 3 successful skill check. Also give it a passive effect of letting blocked generators regress to give it some synergy with other gen blocking perks and to make that part of the perk not detrimental while also give it a niche if nothing else.

      The stacks need to build up for every loud noise notification instead of just missed skill checks

    • @Kraleck

      Point 1: The fact it hinges upon your victims sucking is enough to make Undone bad. Undone = Unreliable.
      Point 2: The fact it needs to build up tokens before smacking a Gen makes it a weak Perk if not outright useless most of the game. Undone = Underpowered.
      Point 3: The fact it gives Survivors time to draw you away from the blocked Gen long enough to let their buddies jump on it when it unblocks means you need a chase-worthy build that can down the bait and a way to punish distant Survivors. Undone = Unimpressive.
      That said, Doctor can pressure Survivors into making mistakes and has the ability to make long-range moves. Unfortunately, Doctor is pretty much the only Killer that Undone is a passable option for.

    • @Predated2
      @Predated2 4 месяца назад +83

      Its better than Pop tho, Pop does 30% of current progress. Undone does 30% of total progress.
      Full power Pop happens at 99.9 of a gen, which is basically dropping it back to 70%. At 50%, Pop drops it back to 35% (excluding the initial flat 5% with a kick, making it 65% and 30% respectively)
      Undone drops a 50% gen back to 20% (also excluding the 5% basekit, making the max effect basically 35%)
      This is really powerful on paper, especially since survivors only need 10 missed skillchecks, which happens more often than you think (sometimes if you let go of a gen, it will give you the skillcheck sound and break instantly, instead of giving you 1 second room to let go. This mechanic was implemented back when people tapped gens to 100% to avoid old hex ruin skillchecks. Those ones are unavoidable).
      This perk also has some nice potential with perks like Overcharge and Oppression, which both are generator skillchecks and a lot easier to miss.
      The real problem is the fact that it blocks a gen for 1 second per stack. Which is only really nice in 3-gen scenarios, which were specifically changed to no longer be as harmful.
      Its a good perk if you remove the genblocking, or if you use other perks to aid it's regression speed (Overcharge will be going at full power if you block the gen for 30 seconds). But its awful on its own.

    Something that might be neat to see is making it scale with *Good* Skillchecks instead of missed ones. It's right in the name, "Undone," you are undoing all the progress someone made on a generator. It'd also provide an earlygame combo with perks like Gearhead, allowing you to track which survivors are succeeding their skillchecks - and thus, which generators need a solid thwack - providing a different way of approaching pressure, rather than trying to work its way into the existing niche of "Missed Skillcheck Doctor Build."

  • @nightmaregaming6595

    I have an idea on how to fix this perk without feeling overpowered:
    ==================
    Whenever in chase with a survivor, Undone gains a token for every 10/9/8 seconds in chase, up to a maximum of 20 Tokens.
    Performing the Damage Generator Action on a generator consumes all accumulated Tokens and applies the following effects:
    Instantly regresses the damaged Generator by -1 % per Token of its total Progression.
    Blocks the damaged Generator for 1 second per Token.
    Causes the damaged Generator to start regressing once it becomes unblocked.
    Undone has a cool-down of 60 seconds.
    ==================
    Personally, I believe this would make it more viable as the longer it takes to down a survivor, the more value you will get out of it. If you run good add-ons or have a high-tier killer to down survivors fast, this perk won't feel oppressive as you are already putting a lot of pressure upon the survivors. In other words, this perk will help lower-skilled or M1 killers more than killers like Wesker or Nurse

    1. Undying, lullaby, overcharge.
    2. Distressing, unnerving, coulrophobia.
    3. Overcharged, oppression, surge/ultimate weapon
    So other things to add are killer add-ons. Recommend using add-on that inflicts sloppy B effects, oblivious, or terror radius transfer. Skull merchant actually has a few of these plus a lullaby claw trap.

  • @Predated2
    @Predated2 4 месяца назад +7

    So, on paper, really nice, as it does 1% of total progress, not current progress.
    Some notes to make:
    1. Overcharge would be at full power the moment the generator is unblocked, assuming you have 30 stacks of Undone.
    2. Oppression works amazingly in tandem with this perk. As you kick a gen, and basically gain another stack that you wont lose for another 60 seconds.
    And since healing skillchecks also count:
    Coulrophobia is amazing.

    I think a good rework would be for the stacks to be permanent but obviously have the regression penalty be signficantly smaller, like an additional .3% per 3 stacks. That way by 30 stacks you get a permanent 3% regression bonus to kicking gens. This would be decently strong but not overpowered, keeping in mind that getting to 30 stacks in the first place is difficult as it is, plus you only get 8 kicks per gen now, so I don't think it would be busted.

I know people will say "just use trail of torment" but the terror radius transfer on the gen absoloutley confuses survivors, and it is fun to see. It also potentially makes them scared to work on the applied gen, even if it's for a few seconds. It works well on unknown too, as you can tp across the map and have no terror radius. Hope you have been giving it a try!

    And that is the fact that it blocks it for a short time. I found some situations where otherwise a survivor would tap the gen (now 5 sec) and would stop the regression, with this perk the survivors would leave because of the time they have to wait for it to unblock. I think this perk would benefit more as a perk that with each token will increase the amount of regression for missed skill checks by X percent, maybe only resetting once a survivor is killed or something akin to Ruin. That way you can more value out of the missed skill checks as a passive form of regression to be used alongside standard regressing perks like Pop.

  • @FrendlyM
    @FrendlyM 4 месяца назад

    I haven't played that many games with Doctor and Undone but I went with Undone, Distressing, Unnerving Presence and Coulrophobia. Huntress Lullaby gives harder penalties for missing skill checks but it doesn't make them THAT harder to hit once you know the hex is in play. However, making them harder to hit is what you need to squeeze the tokens out of Undone.
    Coulrophobia and Unnerving only apply in your terror radius, so you need to expand it as much as possible. Therefore you get Distressing + purple and yellow "Calm" addons give you a huge TR. Unnerving presence makes skill checks appear more often and the hit zones are smaller. Caulrophobia makes the skill check move faster while healing. I usually get more stacks from failed healing checks than repair checks. Waiting for maximum stacks is just wasting time. 9 or 12 stacks to kick a gen is enough, anything above is a nice bonus.
    There is also the gen blocking. Players sometimes manage to hide around the gen and once the killer leaves, they start repairing immediately again. If it gets blocked (and they don't know for how long) they often leave, which enables the gen to regress more before someone comes back to it. Although, reading Otz's last point, this can be very situational.
    However, it is true that people can get way more regression and more consistently from Pop goes the weasel. Maybe they could buff the effect to give 2% regression and 2 seconds blocking time per stack. That way it could potentially outperform Pop but with the added downside of needing way more perks to make it strong. Plus, it would still be probably only worth it on the Doctor, so it would still remain far away from a "good perk".

    I think the funniest application for this perk is to run Unforeseen and Unnerving so one gen becomes nearly impossible to work on safely for a good 30 seconds, and you get Undone value out of it. I think an easy way to make Undone at least USABLE is to just remove the cooldown, since regressing and blocking a gen so little and having basically no input on when you get tokens isn't good enough to be locked behind a cooldown.
    Also there's currently a bug where every stack of Undone counts as ONE regression on a generator for the anti-regression block, so even two missed skillchecks block off a gen from being regressed further right now

You could also pair undone with Pop to build up the damage more

    12:53 Tbh i love this chapter's perks a ton. Interesting new stuff on the survivor side, and for killers Unbound has been AMAZING on Wesker for me (and I assume will be good on Legion once they fix the whole "Legion gets stuck in a wall when using Unbound and their power) and honestly Unforeseen has allowed me to do some funny stuff too. Even if Undone and Unforeseen are just alternatives to Pop Goes the Weasel and Trail of Torment, I appreciate them doing something different with shifting terror radius and a regression perk thats natural counter is playing well and not missing skillchecks.
    And man the survivor side is great, a self healing perk that works fast and gives good info, an unhook perk that can stop a basement snowball and gives good info on unhook, and a new type of perk opening up a whole suite of opportunities.

    Or make it so the perk's regresion is on top of the base regression, doesnt lose stacks, but goes on CD. And balance it through the CD and curb since this perk would still be +15% regresion if you are lucky.

    I had an idea for a small rework for Undone, which could be a bit overtuned or not, but here it is anyways.
    Whenever dealing a damage state to a survivor gain 1 token to a maximum of 6/8/10 tokens. Performing the Damage Generator action consumes all accumulated tokens and applies these effects:
    Instantly regresses the damaged Generator by 3% for each token (Max of 30%)
    Blocks the damaged generator for 3 seconds per token.
    It’s the same as current except less tokens, and you gain them by actively doing something you have to do anyways. Making the gameplay feel more rewarding. This can encourage a hit and run play style but with the change of generators only being able to take 8 damages before you can’t damage it anymore I think the hit and run wouldn’t be effective after you damage the gens so much and then can’t anymore.

    I kind of wish it was a different trigger, maybe like how fast track gains stacks when the killer progresses their goal (getting hooks). What if it was based on good skill checks? It would trigger more often then at least. And if that is too oppressive then make it so there is a cooldown before you can gain more stacks like how play with your food is. I feel in this scenario undone can still be good against new survivors while not being too powerful like pop, just giving it some more consistency.
