TRICK! FOR REMOVING STAINS FROM WHITE CLOTHING. WITHOUT BEACH
    - oxiclean Powder & Spray. (Really tough stains take a 5gal bucket & add 2 full scoops & soak clothing up to 8 hrs over night & machine wash. This can work for hand wash only items too just finish the cycle by hand [just make sure hand wash only items are worth your time cleaning -items min. $40-50])
-2nd thing that will help is a tide stick
Remember to dissolve cleaners in Warm/Hot water but soak & wash items in COLD WATER. Cold water helps not set stains.
Also detergent & white vinegar & baking soda.
    Good Luck Selling 👍

I also forgot borax. If none of these methods really work than you're kinda screwed & not worth it. The only ways around a stained item is to throw it out or dye it another color( which I have done before on light color items ) use Rit DyeMore on items that would look good in a grey, dark brown or black color. I have experience dying fabrics so may not be your cup of tea. Again it has to be worth the time to do the process for me to even do it. Im not gonna dye a pair if $15 capris.

You would be totally amazed at using peroxide, dawn dish detergent, and baking soda. I just use whatever quantity I want to make up the paste to a slightly runny consistency. However, once you mix it up, you need to keep it in a cabinet away from light, because of the peroxide. You can also store it in a dark container, like the peroxides brown container. I was able to get some very old stains out of a white shirt. I did not see the stains, I was rushing and the items were $.50 each. I decided to just to try out this new hack that I saw online. I took the time to try to get the stain out. Pretty incredible! My suggestion is to saturate that area that has the stain, either take a spoon or your fingernail and scrape into the fibers to make sure that this product gets down into the fibers. Let it sit for a few hours. Add a little more product to it if it starts to get dry and give it a good scrub with your fingernail or whatever so that you don’t create peeling on the shirt by being too abrasive. I’ve had astounding results.

Some people at garage sales just want to get rid of stuff and are happy with a little money. They don’t need the money, so you are paying them to take out the stuff they don’t want! It’s a win win.

I agree, she just wanted to get rid of it - have someone haul it away…some people give stuff away for free, same mindset -they just don’t want to be bothered.

Chris is not dismissive. He is brutally direct and matter of fact: this way because it works and you know it. Therefore, you will either do it or shut up and leave. Turning your two dollars into four takes the same thing all over the planet. 98.27% of all success is in this phrase; successful people do what everyone else will not do. Listen to Chris.

Clean the white shirt with Purex Naptha bar soap and then used Oxiclean White Revive. I've never had the colors on a white shirt get damaged by Oxiclean. Clorox For Colors will help with some stains on white, too. Run through the washing machine three times if you have to.

Chris, if people are looking up your home address they need to learn boundaries. 😆 But for real, I agree with the UPS Store assessment because I got a PO Box when I started and now looking back I should have went with UPS Store. I got a flyer with their rates listed last time I dropped off an Amazon return so I'm considering adding that in too.
Anyone know if UPS Store address can count as your address on Amazon for selling? I don't want my house address listed, it looks unprofessional and ya some people are creeps.

Chris, can you do a video on financing your business, as in financing your inventory or employees or growth?
You must have some extra knowledge to give us regarding how to acess cheaper or better financing/capital.
You can sponser the hell out of the video too because most of us will be interested in which companies or products we can access to give us better financing.
In my business, I recently learned to never spend less than $100 on any inventory for my business?
    Why?
Because when I spend $100 or more, I can finance my purchase with inerest rates that are 3X Cheaper than normal.
All my credit cards offer term financing at 4 - 6% instead of 20% as long as I spend $100 or more per transaction.
I never thought about doing that, but now I learned its better to spend at least $100 each time.

I live in rural Georgia and we have 1 Goodwill store within an hour of us. I was trying to source there this past weekend and the pricing has gotten even worse that before! I found a used pair of kids Croc’s for $12.52 LOL

    • @MackLee23
      @MackLee23 2 года назад +2

Goodwill has jacked their prices up significantly. They're entitled to charge whatever they'd like but it's definitely frustrating going in there anymore. I picked up a small flip lid trashcan in one of my local Goodwills a few weeks back. It was quite dirty but worked and fitted the space I needed it for. Well, when I read the price I saw $1.99 (though the sticker was very faded). I get to the register and the lady says it was $7.99!! I took a second look and she was right... I told them they could keep it. I could get a brand new one across the street at Walmart for only a few dollars more. I was willing to clean up the cruddy one but not for that price.
Clothes are also going up more each time I'm in there it seems. Thankfully I still have decent luck and will generally find 2 or 3 clothing pieces that I can flip for a decent profit.
I never see myself reaching the level of this guy. I just try to do my best to make a little bit of money. Being in a rural area makes things more difficult too.

I think the comment that Chris made saying that the seller was lazy because they don't have goodwill bins and are asking for ideas to sell "cheaper" products that they CAN find - is rude. I live in a rural area and can't afford to spend $30+ in gasoline to drive to the nearest large city and visit multiple stores in the HOPES to find hundreds of dollars worth of items to BUY to then travel back home and take pics, list and hope they all sell well... So my ONLY option is to find whatever I can in my local small town and resell it for a profit. No, I will not be able to make a living on it, but I hope to be able to pay down or off my debts and have money for paying other bills.

Lowest price on ebay will usually get first sale, if you arent desperate for the sale right now and can wait longer then play around with higher prices, customers could be purchasing higher priced items because you are near them and want quicker shipping, there are rich customers on Ebay who really dont care about price, there are customers who dont know how to use the search, some customers assume a higher price is better in quality or service and they want the best for themselves. You could create two listings for the item, titles just a bit different and test the higher price vs low price option out for yourself

Not everyone can or even wants to buy pallets of clothes to sell for a dollar or $2 profit for each item....driving prices down with a race to the bottom on the platform.
      I prefer working smarter....not harder.
Im satisfied with 10+ sales a day at $30-$50+ profit per item. Being more picky about what I buy and therefore working fewer hours for more money. No....I don't understand the desire to sell thousands of clothing items for a couple bucks profit just to turn around and use the money to pay for all the overhead it takes to do that volume. Nope...not worth it.
