When Leia says to Luke that she somehow always knew they were siblings, she means she felt a deep connection though she did not understand why until he told her.

    1. Best guess is that Han was Jabba's "trophy" for about a year and a half before the rescue.
    2. Vader discovered Leia as Luke's sister because he could feel it in Luke.
Luke didn't know that until just before then.
    3. Luke's light saber is green because he lost his old one along with his hand so they
decided to make it green because it worked better in the desert background landscape.
    4. Everybody is freaking out because Luke and Leia kissed mostly because she was trying
to piss off Han. They didn't know they are related.
    5. The "I love you. I know" was written into the script to get Leia the shot to say it to Han.
    6. This was Warrick Davis'/Lead Ewok first acting gig. He was only 13.
Willow is his lead with Val Kilmer and worth a first time/share.😎
    7. Awesome camera work with the race through the forest. Nobody in their right mind would go that fast.
    8. A little corn. Hans' reaction to Leia telling him Luke is her brother.
    9. Jedi is plural. With Luke and Leia leading the way they can reestablish the Jedi back into the galaxy.
    10. Ford wanted Han to die in this episode.
    11. This is the best of the original 6 George Lucas Star Wars. After this he sold it to Disney, and everything changed. Sadly

Some alterations from the original release. All of which you can find on RUclips. The Jabba’s Palace music is very different with different visuals. Ending song is different and Anakin’s ghost is the older actor. He grins at his friend, Ben, then at his son, Luke.

Also the big one is Vader's no... NO! when he saves Luke. In the original he was silent the whole time which many fans feel was better.

I watched this when it first came out in the theater. Vader's silence had everybody on the edge of their seats until the last second. Then, when Vader picked up the emperor, the entire theater broke out cheering.
After experiencing that, I find the added "no... NO" kind of cringey.
Also, swapping the actors for Anikin's ghost makes the assumption that the audience has see the prequels. If they haven't, it's just confusing.

  • @carlop.7182

Thanks for your reaction. If you do the prequels (episodes 1-2-3), you'll have the complete backstory of everything that happened before the Original trilpgy. I won't give any major spoilers, but you'll see some of the characters you already know, but younger. I suggest you to take some notes (names & relationships between people), because you have a lot more characters in the prequels. Like Yoda ?--you'll see him in the prequels, even in action, not only talking. Have a nice day. All your remaining questions will be answered in the prequels.

What I find most amazing about RoTJ is not just the special effects at the time (I did go to see it in the cinema with my dad), but Ian McDiarmid's portrayal of the Emperor. He was only in his 30s at the time!

"I'll never turn to the Dark Side. You've failed, your highness. I am a Jedi, like my father before me."
    "So be it... Jedi!"
Fun Fact: The growls and sounds of the Rancor in Jabba's Palace were actually made by a dachsund.
Stage Actor Fact: Ian McDiarmid, a prolific stage actor, based his character's unusual voice on the Japanese method of using your stomach to project yourself. The result was a strange, guttural croak that Lucas decided was perfect.
Hot Take Fact: During the shot in which Salacious Crumb (the small, annoying, rat-like thing that sits with Jabba in his palace) is chewing off C-3PO's eye, Anthony Daniels had a panic attack while in the C-3PO suit. While filming, he didn't actually say his lines (all of his lines were dubbed in post-production anyway), but repeated "Get me up! Get me up!" over and over. This is the take used in the final cut.
Pinocchio's Revenge Fact: It took six people to work the full-sized animatronic of Jabba the Hutt. The puppet fit three men inside -two to operate the arms, head and tongue and another to move the tail. A man lying below the puppet pulled strings to move Jabba's mouth and make his sides heave. And two radio operators controlled the slimy goon's eyes, including pupil dilation, direction and wideness of eyelids. A final crew member was responsible for rubbing gel on the puppet to give Jabba his slimy look.
Revenge Of The Ewok Fact: The Endor shots were filmed near Crescent City, California. Forest work was especially hard on the Ewok actors. Production assistant Ian Bryce arrived on the set one day to find a note from the Ewok actors saying that they had all had enough and they were on their way to the airport. Bryce tried to drive to the airport, but got a flat tire not far from the set. He found another car and was about to leave when the Ewoks' bus pulled up, then all the Ewok actors got off wearing "Revenge Of The Ewok" t-shirts.

Great reaction, in it you asked "Did he?" when Luke told Vader that he could not bring himself to destroy him before and he would not do it again. Think back to the trench run on the original Death Star, Vader paused when he sensed the force in Luke. There were many battles not in the films (they took place between the films) and Vader could not destroy Luke then. That is what he was referring to. Also think of the Cloud City battle in Empire.

As I've grown older, I've begun to appreciate The Empire Strikes Back much more for the way it advances the Luke / Vader narrative. My preference for Episode 6 waned after they added the CGI cabaret scene in Jabba's palace. It was just too cheesy for my tastes and seemed more appropriate to Episode 1 in its tone.

Great reaction. Some people will criticize but It would be actually better if you'd watch the movies as George Lucas recommends (in chronological order), it makes Darth Vader redemption more meaningful and real. It also makes emperor's death more joyful as you see in prequels how evil powerful cunning genius he actually was, Yoda's death is sadder as you follow him throughout the whole saga, and especially it makes revenge of the sith (episode 3) more emotional and surprising as you learning who Darth Vader is, as you learning the brotherhood between Vader and Obi Wan Kenobi which makes his death more sad, you're actually going through the most depressing movie and then you're getting used to that depressing feeling throughout the whole original trilogy and at the end you feel the most joyful moment when the empire is overthrown. I got that feeling when I first watched star wars and it's awesome. The bad sides of this methond of watching is you're missing the great plot twist "I am your father" and the Leia being Luke sister, but the second one is actually not that good because as you watching it in chronological order the reveal for you is more believable. I know people will criticize me for that statement but I think it is really better as you watching it chronological order if you don't know anything about star wars. Also it would made your reaction unique on youtube because most of the people are watching it in order of release because that's what people are telling other people to watch, mostly old fans who watched it in release order wants experience again feeling the felt as a kid and that's not the bad thing, but most of the old fans don't see actual advantages of watching in chronological order like someone objective like George Lucas see.

Going into Ep.1, keep in mind that it takes place before the empire, so there is no emperor and no rebel alliance. Instead, the ruling government is the Republic, which is made up of a galactic congress of representatives from all the member worlds (though not every planet in the galaxy is part of the Republic and are beyond its laws). The leader of the senate is the Supreme Chancellor, kind of like the president or prime minister of the galaxy. There is no military because there has been peace for a thousand years. Instead, the peace is kept by the Jedi Knights, who serve the Republic but exist apart from it with its own rules and traditions. Centuries before, they had defeated their ancient enemies, the Dark Lords of the Sith who used the dark side of the Force to try to conquer the galaxy.
By the time of Ep.1, the senate has become corrupt and senators are open to bribery from powerful corporations, who are so wealthy and influential that they even have their own senators in congress. One of these corporations is the Trade Federation who are the apparent villains of the movie. But they are in fact secretly in league with a familiar-looking hooded figure, whose existence no one else, even the Jedi, are aware of.

Darth Vader is a mangled human inside his suit. His face is burned and scarred. Obi wan mentioned defeating him at a volcano.
They weren't sure if Harrison Ford would return so he ended up in carbonite. That way Han could die offscreen without Ford returning. So this movie had to start with a rescue.
The original plan was to end on a planet of Wookies but Chewbacca became too sophisticated. So they invented Ewoks as mini-Wookies.
Darth Vader was saved in a religious sense. He was washed clean of evil. The parable of the prodigal son is a christian version of this kind of story.
The force ghost of Darth Vader is portrayed by the actor who portrayed him in the prequels. The celebrating cities are also in the prequels. How Vader was mangled is in the prequels.
The prequels are out of time order with the first triology with different productions, different writers, different actors. So there are a few rough spots and spoilers regardless of whether you watch them in time order (1 2 3 4 5 6) or filming order (4 5 6 1 2 3).
The disney triology (7 8 9) is in time and filming order with the rest, but those are controversial with fans.
Solo and Rogue Squadron are temporally between 3 and 4. Rogue Squadron closes just before 4 opens. The Clone War cartoons are between 2 and 3.

Luke's saber swings are unrefined, sloppy. You would love the prequels sword fights better I think.
The Emperor is played by the same actor, although in the original Ep5 version, it wasn't the case, they re edited the scene after Ep3 was filmed, so his voice sounds a little older in Ep5 as it does in ep6...
Darth Vader is working because of James Earl Jones's deep voice. The actor inside the suit, on the contrary had a terribly high pitched voice that sounded more like a parody...

I love the original trilogy so much and they are superior to TPM, AOC and ROTS in terms of directing and has much more depth to them but the duels are of course a lot better in the prequel trilogy except for the first time Anakin and Obi-Wan fought Count Dooku which i didn't like that much. There are changes that George Lucas made and one of them is that Vader says No.....Nooooo when the good in him comes back and he gets rid of Sidious, i personally think that this ruins that scene a bit because there was no need for Vader to say anything at all and it is more emotional and clever to have it silent

The only kiss between Luke and Leia was on Hoth to piss off Han and make him jealous.
    All other were just pecks.

olavity, at 27 min , Leia is sad, why, she just found out about them being siblings, at the end of the last movie , her and luke were alone together, i think she is sad because she knows she is pregnant and she has to get rid of Luke's child(ren) if she is pregnant, that is why she can't tell Han, she told him she loves him, but she cheated with Luke because they were both horny? for eachother. and in Japanese culture, it is shameful to have incestual children, and star wars is based on Japanese culture and mythology

She would have loved to see these in Machete order. All of you guys who insist on making people watch the movies out of order as we had to SUCK. Let me explain. The only change that matters is which movie is seen last. The release order makes Revenge of the Sith the last movie seen. Machete order ends on Return of the Jedi. Now, if you ONLY had Episodes 3, 4, 5, and 6 to watch, (forget 1 and 2 for a minute), would you really END with Episode 3? Wouldn't watching them in 3, 4, 5, 6 order make more sense than seeing them in 4, 5, 6, 3? She saw Vader's face and called him an alien. She saw Vader die. She didn't see or even MENTION Anakin's redemption, which would be the end of his character arc. And if she'd seen the prequels before ROTJ, she would have been WAY more invested in Anakin. Not seeing the prequels first totally blows off Anakin's story.

"- it's too late for me son.".one of the saddest confessions I've ever heard. Luke really is different, matured in every way. and as for the celebrating subjects of the emperor, they wouldn't be so cheerful if they knew what a future awaits them. it's no coincidence that the franchise is called star wars! (they would be even more horrified and disgusted if they knew that disney would buy the franchise and completely destroy it!🥴🫢🥵🤢🤮😡💔)
