    hey rust, this is probably not the right place to ask but I’ll do it since you often respond to comments: I’ve seen your duel video with Steelovsky (the chainsaw one) I guess you’re using custom arena mod along with seamless coop. In that video I don’t think that was the case but I often see people using some sort of “auto-revive” which would be really handy when I’m dueling with my buddies (in order to bypass loading the game and going to grace eveytime), do you know anything about that, or that kind of mod? Or do I have to boot cheat engine to do that kind of thing? I’m asking you because you usually know about this stuff.
    ps: I really like your videos, can’t donate or anything but sent you steam points recently lol, I know it means nothing but just wanted to show some sort of gratitude.

    • @Rust_BKT
      @Rust_BKT  Год назад +7

    Such a great guide!
    I always wonder whether Spear Talisman is worth it on elemental builds though.
    Tested it on my magic Zweihander against a Leyndell Knight...
    - regular CR1 = 374 dmg
    - counter hit = 419 dmg (12% increase)
    - spear tali hit = 449 dmg (20% increase)
    This was a +20 magic Zweihander.
    Do with this what you will, lol.

  • @WeeabooPocky
    @WeeabooPocky Год назад +4

    it doesn't have to do something with the video... well, kinda.
    for me, in invasions, a must to have equiped talisman is the "green turltle", when i'm getting outnumbered, i barely have time to check my stamina bar, and when i get so agressive, most of the time i got out of stamina and get punished because of that or i can't estus punish/finishing off my opponets. and since both glitches for stamina regen got patched (talisman swap and crouch) has made my life as an invader harder.
    anyway, my question is, do you think is it worth the slot in invasions?, and also which one of bot stamina talismans is better using?, because i have seen other pvp youtubers like chasethebro using the "Viridian Amber Medallion", because i also think that the stamina regen of the turtle is still low, and there's not +2 version of it.

    • @Rust_BKT
      @Rust_BKT  Год назад +2

      Viridian+2 can let you get one extra attack in if you have enough endurance to make it worth using, but if youre getting that tight on stamina then youre probably overextending and should manage your stamina more conservatively in general. Turtle helps you recover it faster which is better for when youre being chased, chasing, but it helps you have less downtime when youre trying to re engage. Id argue that green turtle is always better. For invasions youre mostly going to be stuck on your 90% setup, so you can have a swap for it for one of your lesser damage boosting talis. I keep mine as a swap from bull goats, since i usually just use it if im trying to close or create distance.

    Great video, as always! A couple things that may or may not be relevant to the subject:
    1. Your third talisman slot may potentially be the furthest away from you when you just switch just 1 or 2 talismans so you might wanna have this as your stationary slot. It is just 1 extra button press but it is something to take into consideration.
    2. I don't like how high damage is in ER, so I prefer to use the defence talis instead of stacking damage ones. They are pretty underrated imo.
    3. For people that want a single page inventory they can try to have 25 of blue/red-feather tali at the bottom and top for the quick trigger swap no matter what they were using before.
    This is what I'm using rn but probably gonna switch to the multiple page one you showed here since I like how much more freedom it gives.

    • @Rust_BKT
      @Rust_BKT  Год назад +3

      1: thats a good point, i find it can get a little haphazard if i try to switch between L and R for talismans and i can get lost pretty quick, but skill issue tbh. Youre completely right.
      2. I agree that the def talis are very strong, definately underrated. 5% defense goes alot further than people may think.
      3. The page method is def a good option too for just doing feathers. All very good suggestions!

    On a side note... I had an idea for a video/format:
    I feel like there are a lot of channels that talk about unique builds or new combos and try to find the next cool thing, but there is not that much content around mastering a certain weapon.
    Like In depth analysis about all match ups with one specific weapon and how to approach them in terms of playstyle and Strategy.
    Hts vs. Gugs, Hts vs. psss, hts vs. Cleanrot...
    talking about who has match up and how you should you engage.
    Maybe you could even bring other people (pvp pros/really good payers) onto the channel as well to talk about their main weapon and how they approach different match ups.
    Thanks again for the amazing content Rust 🙌🏻

    Keeping your inventory organized and having it sorted by "order of acquisition" is super helpful. For example, I always keep the Crimson Seed Talisman directly beneath my main talismans so I can quickly swap to it and get a bigger heal from my flask, etc.

  • @Smaxy_
    @Smaxy_ Год назад +3

    actually i'd rather use blessed dew in the 90% setup than 20%. Feathers are so strong I wouldn't want to accidently exit the range and lose the buffs. What are you supposed to run on halX besides spear btw?

    • @Rust_BKT
      @Rust_BKT  Год назад +3

      i can definately agree that blessed dew has some benefit at 90% range, preferential diff i guess. but yea, you need to be careful at the under 20 range. you can reapply your HP tali to boost your max hp and keep yourself sub 20 if you get close to creaping over it, or just use bloody slash to pull your hp down a little and keep you in feather range. on hal/dagger prob run alex if youre running something lorettas, ice spear, or a mist. Otherwise, defensive tali would prob do the best for it. But honestly, id probably go status and run kindred.

    Damn I don't know if does it count as cheating but, assigning macros to weapons swap, talisman swaps and even armor swap for healing is just too handy.
    I'm just learning about the really tricky inputs to cancel animations and do that weird stuff anr I see it veing possible, not as fluid and smooth like on a controller because you can overwrite or cancel the inputs if you're not experienced. But damn I can see the good old DSII days where you can do crazy stuff with the cancel animations and hitting true combos that look like hacking.

    • @Rust_BKT

    After watching Amir.'s video on casting speed, Radagon's icon is not as useful for pvp
    Radagon's icon works best on spells that already have a long cast time. And spells wil long cast times are generally not as viable in pvp.
    At the same time, quick spells like slicer and catch fire that can cast while running or jumping already cancel the initial cast animation-so Radagon's icon offers some faster spells no benefit at all.
    So, if youre using catch fire, bestial sling, carian slicer for pvp, which are already some of the best pvp spells, then you dont need Radagon's icon regardless of your dex.

    • @Rust_BKT
      @Rust_BKT  Год назад

      You need it to ensure true combos, which otherwise arent true if you dont have sufficient casting speed. For example, halberd RR1 into L1 slicer is true at max cast speed, and not true at min.

    Godskin swaddling cloth seems like a waste of a talisman slot. You barely get 90 HP for every proc and you won't be getting a lot of those since it has to be successive. Might as well use blessed dew at that point.
    Same with the Dragoncrest greatshield talisman. These ones are heavily nerfed for PvP and get even worse the heavier your armor is. You'll be getting like a 2-3% physical absorption increase which is nothing, might as well get more Erdtree's favor or Crimson amber.

    • @Rust_BKT
      @Rust_BKT  Год назад +1

      I think you might misunderstand that section of the video. The whole point is to star your fight with crimston + erd, then swap them off to maintain the ritual buffs, and swap again once you are at an unrecoverable health threshhold. But dont underestimate the value of a 4% def buff or hp regen, still, if you prefer a different option, feel free to go for something else.

      if you're running spear, it will do more for you on a pure physical infusion. Elemental still works but youre getting like 40% of the bonus, due to armor calculations and defense % reductions. Its still good if you dont have a better option, but like, on cipher pata for example, spear talisman does absolutely nothing.
