actually, the armour doesnt need to be shiny, thats a hollywood invention. most historical armours were painted over the metal, having a thick black matte paint over the armour would help to keep it from rusting away. and guts armour gets a lot of use. i guess they wanted to go with a cast iron look for the armour
i dont mind the weathering since it will typically improve the realistic look. my issue is with the surface of the soft plastic. it doesn't look like a 70$ figure, that's all i'm saying. i feel like they're comparable to cheap plastic car toys i had when i was a toddler 😭

@@toysfront Yeah, I actually took screenshots of your video later, and I think the problem is indeed his lower half. Either Guts should have thicker legs due to his armor, looks like an American football player and has limited articulation there, or he has skinny jeans, you can't have both 😂
I don't really see that many issues myself. But those wrists/hands are definitely a problem. Those would be bad on a figure that doesn't wield a humongous sword. On Guts, they're horrendous. The elbow/forearm joint on the flesh armor is also bad looking, but I've thought that since I first saw pictures of it, so that doesn't shock me. Definitely should've included a stand base, but I think Bandai should consider packing a stand with every SHF at this point.
Did the dad and the boy from this channel agree to call my man ugly? 😂 He is rugged and maybe always drenched in blood, sweat, or tears, but ugly, he isn’t. Maybe you are bewitched by Griffith’s looks! Lol. (I saw that you prefer Kenshiro, but Guts and Kenshiro look somewhat alike…to me at least.)

i think thats bcos the upper body looks thick, while the lower body tapered 😂
