need to get some of that. I have been carrying around the patch kit that came with my waders.. but truthfully I would never put in the effort to truly patch it in the back country. I would need this for a quick fix! thanks JP!
They make a UV Aquaseal that can be cured quicker in daylight or with a UV light. I recommend that for Backcountry repairs that way you can get right back on the water.
Excellent presentation. I wear breathable boot foot chest waders. Do they need to be turned inside out or does the application go on the outside just as well? Thank you.
@@RoadandReel Thanks for the prompt reply. I do appreciate it. I'll see if I can get close enough inside for my small leak but if not, I'll go outside. Thanks again and I will subscribe. Be well. Rich
@@pauliedoherty5254 technically nylon isn't classified as a breathable wader. They are usually rubber like and involve some form of PVC to make them more durable. The best way to find holes that I've found for those types of waders is to fill them with water and see where they leak.
Fast and to the point. Best video on RUclips! Thank you
@@publicnme733 thank you!
Great tutorial. Thank you!
Glad it helped!

You can do it on either side, I just prefer the inside so it doesn't show.

You're welcome and good luck!
Excellent! Nice to know alcohol does not impair the adhesion of AquaSeal. Thanks!
No problem, thanks for the comment!
Does Isopropyl alcohol works for any kind breathable waders to reveal the holes?
It should. I've even used it on neoprene.
It does not work on nylon. I was told by a fly shop that it only works on Gore-Tex. I tried it on my nylon waders and its didn’t show my hole.

Does this work on the neoprene booties as well?
Yes, the FD does.
Which waders are those? I got a set of simms tributary that are leaking but only can find goretex fix.
These are the G3 Guide model. This fix works for any breathable Gore-tex material and I've even used it to patch a leak on my float tube 😁
