The funny thing is that a lot of offline people the mom and dads have recently got a new PC or GPU on sale, they currently come with a free games bundle of a nonpolitical and political game and most of the reviews for the political game on steam are negative from people who have a tag that says received game for free, meaning none of this is controversial that's just the options of the everyday mom and dad but websites and users on the internet will try and spin it every way to say it's not lol.

I agree that hobbies are an escape from everything in life. It does feel like lines between hobbies, jobs, and politics have been getting blurred for a lot of people lately. Like I go to my local game store to play Pokémon and the occasional tabletop game(also to dunk on Alabama when they lose in football). A lot of us there have the same mindset due to our jobs being similar so we just play our games, make jokes about someone else’s team losing in football, and go home. I open RUclips and I don’t want to see someone going oh make sure to vote, or can you believe x is happening. RUclips and Content Creation in general was an escape from daily life for people as well.

I don’t want Pokémon card RUclipsrs talking about politics for a couple reasons. Firstly I want a break from politics. Politics impact most parts of everyone’s life and it’s nice to get away from that. And secondly, I don’t want Pokémon channels talking politics bc they aren’t typically well informed on political issues.
Content creators are not here to get on a moral pedestal and preach to people about how they should live their lives, especially if what those people want to do or support doesn’t hurt anybody. Loved the video homey. My question always is… is it really politics? Or is it the fact that as a society we’ve completely lost the ability to respect each other’s opinion? And it happens a lot in this community too… We determine if we love or hate someone based on their beliefs. “If you don’t have my opinions, I don’t associate with you”. But they just have to weasel in some talking points and then regress to "I don't want to see/talk politics" when they get the slights amount of push back. If YT could demonetize every channel that crosses that boundary, that would be amazing. Every "video game" or "comic book" channel basically devolves into the same grift.

I tell ya the problem with politics getting involved into our spaces what takes too far which they used to politics as a way to take down others over their differences and opinions that they agree/disagree. To this point, people needs to wake up as this point the world doesn't involved about politics which they need to focus on themselves and their own stuff.

I couldn't agree more. I don't go around the different channels anymore because of that kind of stuff. We get on RUclips to unwind, and we go to Pokémon channels to watch content about Pokémon. If I wanted to see stuff on politics, I'd go to CNN or Fox. If I want to watch stuff about drama in the Pokémon World, I come to opossum. Appreciate you brother for keeping it Authentic. Loved the video homey. My question always is… is it really politics? Or is it the fact that as a society we’ve completely lost the ability to respect each other’s opinion? And it happens a lot in this community too… We determine if we love or hate someone based on their beliefs. “If you don’t have my opinions, I don’t associate with you”. Its gotten so bad that when you hear any political opinion it is immediately triggering and uncomfortable not because of the oipinion itself, but because of the brain rot that follows. And to be honest, that’s why these times are becoming LAME.. lol we need some pokepossitivity in this country!

Bringing up politics in any hobby seems trashy to me. The whole point of having a hobby is to disconnect from the daily bullshit. It's better for the community to leave politics out of it, because we don't need to further divide ourselves. Hobbies are supposed to bring people together.

I have to disagree to a slight degree. While I think, for the most part, poltics need to stay out of the community, it's okay when people slip and be open about it. It will help people make the decision on whether or not they continue to support them.
