Income tax is total waste . The whole collected amount doesn't contribute in indian economy . The maintenance , salaries and other expense of this department are more than the tax amount collected by this department . There should be more indirect tax collection like g.s.t . It should be high on luxury items and negligible on necessary items .

Corrupt politicians and government sector living in luxury. While the working class suffers. The government should have hands off approach to economy and not tax the working class
Flat tax rate is ideal. Since India has a very small percentage of people paying direct taxes, the government heavily relies on indirect taxes through gst and other, etc. This heavily affects the middle class people, those who are salaried as they end up paying nearly 50% taxes in direct amd indirect taxes. This leads to a very low savings rate. 30% tax rate above 10 lakhs is brutal, as u can only get that type of salaries in metro cities and the cost of living is quite high there. Taxing everyone at flat 10% will ease the burden and will increase the tax base. Its also high time the government starts taxing the wealth farmers. 28% gst is too high and unheard of in many developed countries.
The irony is people who are supposed to earn for themselves and make good life for them is doing good for the nation and people who are supposed to serve the are making their wealth from nation

Its true, you wouldn't find many people who speak so frankly in this country. He understands what toll he will incur because of this and yet he speaks unfiltered. Kudos to his courage. No wonder he has a disappointed resting face. We keep a happy face, because we ignore the problems and keep on going, but it's people like these who care more about the truth and less about living a seemingly problem-free life.
Lately, I have noticed a change in Ashneer's behavior. He seems to have become more narcissistic, expressing his opinions without considering their validity. In the video itself we can observe that most of the businessmen present during his speech didn't even applaud him, indicating that they found his statements baseless and nonsensical. For instance, suggesting a flat GST rate of 5% is absurd because it would lead to increased costs for essential goods and services like vegetables and hospital treatments. Additionally, implementing a single tax rate of 20% on earnings below 5 Lacs would be extremely burdensome for individuals living in metropolitan areas. Although he may be a successful and influential entrepreneur, it's important not to watch or be influenced by his irrational viewpoints. I fully support the notion that tax revenue should be utilized wisely, similar to how a prudent individual would manage their resources. It is crucial to prioritize areas such as education and healthcare, where numerous individuals are currently facing significant challenges.
What he gave is a high-level framework. He didn't say 5% on essential should be there as well. How many essential G&S are there? Exempt Tuition fees, Food Produce (not the products), Medical expenses, Insurance, Public transportation. Charge everything else a flat of 7% or 10%. We've an FM who carelessly comments that she doesn't consume onion. And every health insurance/term insurance policy has addl GST component. Our govt already messed it up.

Those who don't deserve the reward obviously tell the tax is a punishment... because he don't accept india as it ....
Your argument is full of nonsense, what's wrong with his questions? Govt is taking away 1/3 of our earnings what do we get in return, no reservations in school colleges and in jobs. Who's getting these benefits people who take all the freebies from govt who are not paying a penny for development of this country. Who get subsidies in many govt schemes. We're kept away from all these facilities coz we pay taxes.
you don't know the history of socialism, if you think it's even remotely a good idea. some things can be "socialist" but you can't run any country entirely on those principles. we know this from dozens of failed socialist countries with millions dying for "the greater good". if you think that the rich "deserve" to pay tax, you haven't worked hard enough to earn your fair share in life. go read a real book

Top govt employees have to pay 25% tax though their annual income is 40lacs but it is easy to think that 30lacs is their income.... But business man.....they literally touch 10 15cr then they have to give 4cr tax so obviously it is hard & when you think all is your hard earn then you become Grover. Just think about it.... In Islam, Zakaat is a form of obligatory charity and is calculated based on different types of wealth and production. The key principles for calculating Zakaat are as follows: 1. **Savings**: Zakaat on savings is set at 2.5%. This applies to the total amount of money that has been saved for a year, provided it exceeds the minimum threshold (nisab). For example, if someone has saved ₹100,000 for a year, they would pay ₹2,500 as Zakaat. 2. **Production with Investment and Labor**: When an individual uses both their money and personal effort (labor) in producing something, such as in agriculture or business, the Zakaat is 5% of the production's value. For instance, if a farmer grows crops worth ₹50,000 and has invested both money and physical labor in the process, they would pay ₹2,500 in Zakaat. 3. **Production with Either Investment or Labor**: If only one of either money or manpower is used, the Zakaat rate is 10%. For example, if someone rents out their land and another person farms it, earning ₹50,000 from the crops, they would pay ₹5,000 in Zakaat, since they only provided the land (investment) but not the labor. 4. **Capital Gains without Effort**: For income earned without any personal effort or investment, such as from inheritance, gifts, or discovered wealth, the Zakaat rate is 20%. For example, if someone inherits ₹100,000, they would pay ₹20,000 as Zakaat on this gain. These rules ensure that Zakaat is distributed fairly based on the type of wealth and effort involved, with a higher rate applied to wealth gained without personal investment of labor or money.

Chaiwala ek bada doglapan
India is now desperate for Pappu 1.0 budget created by the "Saaf Sutra" Chidambaram.
Income tax is total waste . The whole collected amount doesn't contribute in indian economy . The maintenance , salaries and other expense of this department are more than the tax amount collected by this department . There should be more indirect tax collection like g.s.t . It should be high on luxury items and negligible on necessary items .
Check out the budget report given out by RBI, it contributes to 23% of revenue. I don’t think they spend so much on the department

Great sir This topic needs to be raised, govt. Is sucking our blood by income tax
the most clear cut person on planet...

So true but karega kaun??
Ye khud bhi agar power mai kabhi aayega, toh yeh bhi nahi Karega for sure.
He say every thing right only one slab,,, under 5 lakh no tax and above 20% tax, flat,,, the good move,,, every one is happy and pay tax regularly,,
Lately, I have noticed a change in Ashneer's behavior.
Bloody bhakt
What he gave is a high-level framework. He didn't say 5% on essential should be there as well. How many essential G&S are there? Exempt Tuition fees, Food Produce (not the products), Medical expenses, Insurance, Public transportation. Charge everything else a flat of 7% or 10%. We've an FM who carelessly comments that she doesn't consume onion. And every health insurance/term insurance policy has addl GST component. Our govt already messed it up.

First of all he doesn't know the meaning of a socialist country... secondly he forgot that India is a developing country that's why the income tax is greater on crorepati....that is why he is crying.
He is telling that 10% of the people have these conditions...yet he believe that what he gain is all by himself...they have decent amount of money but their hunger is unbounded...it is their problem...they don't have the responsibility on those people from where they got all the money!?!
Those who don't deserve the reward obviously tell the tax is a punishment... because he don't accept india as it ....
And you know everything 😜😅😂...

@@gmg8771 have you heard everything what he said?
He said he don't do charity because he has to grow first for that...no one fixed the amount of charity and there is no limit in financial growth or you can say hunger...so these people won't contribute on their own will.
Business means always unequal exchange that's how they produce this amount of profit...then they think all these are their hard earned...in reality in private organisation the director or the adminstrator of the organization literally suck their employees. They use every possible loophole to earn more...
You have to understand the thing that living in India is hard than the developed nation & those crorepati are not some special person, there are more qualified persons, they are also working hard but earn less...they don't revolt...90% of these population also bound by the laws they also have to pay equally on everything they purchase...the difference is that they don't have unbounded hungry for money due to all these boundaries...
Business man means what?
Some initial capital (might be earned or borrowed)
Gathering employees.... giving much less salary than what they actually produce
Gaining more wealth
Gathering more employees
Using these wealth to create more opportunities like loan etc...

It’s stupid to question the tax system .We should question the use of tax which ashneer points out .
in islamic economic system there is only 2.5% tax on remaining balance of year end.
countries like Katar, Dubai have very less population and huge natural resources so they don't need to collect tax while check BD, Pakistan tax slabe.
In Islam, Zakaat is a form of obligatory charity and is calculated based on different types of wealth and production. The key principles for calculating Zakaat are as follows:
We all need this kind of young leader.
