I wonder how many people thought you were a person saying something random, but they just need the chorus.
Do you rember the word sheet that came with Darkness? That was one of the first albums I ever bought, i was 12 in 1978, i bought only 45s before that. My buddy borrowed the album and "lost" lol the word sheet.
As a 15 year old boy I played this album over and over and these words burned into my mind. I saw him live on this tour in San Diego in 78 and my life was forever changed.
As a 16 year old boy, I am playing this album over and over and having these words burned into my mind. I’m going to see The Boss live in June and it wouldn’t surprise me if my life will forever change.

Agree! Probably my favorite Bruce tune. I have listened to no tune more than this one over the years and it still has not gotten old. The sax solo on this one just floors me; love it!

I’ve seen tons of Boss videos, but, apparently, not enough, because this is absolutely amazing!
What a great opener this would be! Conversely, one man can't pour his heart and soul and body into one song. For a whole concert? That would be inhuman. But Bruce is the closest I've seen to this.
I'm 16 and I want to move to America from Ireland where I live to become a musician and the boss is the reason I'm doing it. Love you Bruce!!!

My wife's and my first date was this concert, my first Springsteen show. Start of a long, beautiful relationship.

Believe it or not but he played lots of venues with seats in 1978, even in 1980 and 1981.

At this point in his career he didn’t need anyones help . We were in awe, ie had not seen anything like this before or for thar matter since . The song was fresh n new so nobody really had a clue .
