@@MudkipPog Setting is the best part. Sure I don't want WW1 to become the norm but it's a fantastic change of scenery that has barely been touched in the FPS genre.
I personally think battlefield 1 is the best battlefield. it is the most fun I have played, map design and size is perfect and overall 9.5 out of 10. that 0.5 is because of the fact that the heavy bomber is really annoying

Personally the most annoying thing is when you're flying attack plane and when the gunner is firing forward you can't see shit because of the muzzle flash
@Yoshikage Kira I'm a fireman, the problem is to actually stay in flames, just like passing your finger on a flame won't hurt
In the Perino clip, you started firing before you were fully ADS so it uses the hipfire spread in that case. It's a way to balance the LMGs since they have such high ammo counts

Sure there is more spread in this game than other BF games, but you can make it work if you use the weapon correctly. I Also think if you have a scope on your gun the time to get optimal spread is even longer than iron sights.

The thing with the random bullet deviation is it's a simple way to balance the rifles and the automatic guns. Without it, the LMGs would be way too strong, especially the Sniper variants. I get why it annoys people, but even a real soldier with a real gun isn't going to shoot dead straight with every bullet in all conditions. Anyway, great video as always. BF1 forever!
Just the fact that they call it “Random Bullet Deviation” is what bothers me. Or worse they say this noob friendly which makes no fucking sense. Like It’s called weapon spread, just as everything you said is what weapon spread is and it all comes down how well you can pace your shots. If you see that your fully auto weapon’s spread is starting to go nuts at long range, start single tap firing in a controlled pace. I had countless times where I can hit people at long range with an MP18 trench because of understanding the weapon spread.
@@Grandmaster_Vic You are so dead wrong. Random Bullet Deviation in BF1 doesn't come from a continuos stream of bullets, it comes from the FIRST bullet in your clip or magazine. Your first bullet doesn't go exactly where it is at all, unless you're using a sniper. What are you on about? That IS a bs noob friendly mechanic that they also got from Star Wars Battlefront (2015). Bullet Spread in BFs older than BF1 was in the player's control not completely random. Gunplay in BF1 makes gunfights incredibly annoying. On top of the nade spam, heavy bombers, constant spotting like BF4, no weapon pings on the mini-map, NOOBY sweet-spot mechanic and fast bullet velocity for snipers especially, BF1 is frustrating game to have fun with.
random bullet deviation is garbage, stop defending garbage game mechanics, there are many other garbage gameplay decision they did with this game and bf1 isnt as good as people think it is
@@hachelyd_i3232 okay well it depends on what factors were there for the first bullet to be “randomly deviated” such as what gun are you using? Were you on the move while shooting? Was the target moving? How far was the target? Were you under suppression? Are you sure your aiming where you need to in order to hit the target? Is your weapon on a bipod? Do you know how to manage your recoil? How’s the connection to your server and how much ping you have?
Also you have to take account that Some weapons have faster bullet velocities or have a tighter spread for the sake of balancing because of the fact that we are playing in a WW1 setting. Like the Fedorov for example is a good automatic gun at close to mid range but at long range you will struggle with its high spread and slow bullet velocity which helps balance the weapon from becoming a Death laser. My point is that Random Bullet Deviation is a term for people who don’t understand how Weapon spread works and it’s actually closer to how guns are in real life. But I don’t blame them because DICE did a HORRIBLE job explaining the weapon mechanics to the community before the community was able to figure out how the mechanics work on their own.
Also the noob friendly argument is pretty dumb because noob friendly in video games generally mean that there is a system or mechanic in place to help the noob get into the game without putting much time and effort (the super low recoil guns or Deathstreaks of Modern Warfare 2 for example). So how is a weapon spread mechanic or RDB by any means a noob friendly mechanic? In actuality it’s the opposite as It takes time and understanding of how the weapon spread works in order to really get good at the game. A noob or newer player either doesn’t know or doesn’t want to put the time to wanna learn these systems.

Still playing this often. Never gets old. Matchmaking can be annoying on Xbox but it’s an older game so I get it
use the server browser and put in none, 1-5, 6-10 in the slot option. you should find full servers all day :)

This game never gets old. Been playing since release. Can't believe that its still better than any FPS game. Idk why I even bothered with other games. This game is timeless and will always be fun. Love your BF1 videos the most btw.

The battlefield gem!!! The absolute best battlefield ever. Been playing battlefield since 2003 and Holy shit battlefield 1 is the only one I keep coming back to time and time again!
I bought this game not more than 2 weeks ago and boy is it great. I mostly love the story mode it just feels great and authentic, but online is also great. Except that I suck🙂
1k hours in veteran here. I can only wish a newcomer to hold your ground and don't give up. I can recommend you shock operations mode it's operations on 5 maps with 40 players. Cheers buddy
I bought it a few years ago but didn't have a PC to play on, got the premium for free, got it downloaded this past summer after a year playing bf4 after building my pc in Oct 2020... I gotta say I play it more then bf 4 and 2042 now.
But like you I suck, but I have good and bad days some days I go on a good sniping or other rampage others I would be better off just being tied to a tree and fired at non stop.

Hang in there, it gets easier once you get used to the mechanics and learn the weapons and maps. I have about 700 hours in BF1 and I still have a rough go for a match or two when I come back after not playing for awhile.
It's probably my all time favorite game of any genre.

I have bf3 but hardly play it only played the campaign this summer and a few rounds of conquest here and there. The suppression makes it difficult for me because you can't move much I find.

Personally, this game has some of the best atmosphere and context that i can think of in recent memory, competing with Red Dead Redemption II and Fallout New Vegas. It feels so visceral and intense when you just get to turn off your lights, put on some headphones, and disable the HUD while playing, and I think that it is truly one of the best war games in the last decade (not the absolute best, but its up there). Plus the codex entries add a lot for you to learn and actually utilize, for instance back in my junior year, I had to write about WW1 and the way it changed not only technology, but the way that people live in general, and from only playing this game, I got a 94 on it. Truly one of the best games from this decade, 100%.
It really captured the feel of WW1 after the Battle of the Frontiers, when all optimism was torn away from all combatting nations by the horrific casualties of the first few months.
There are no light-hearted taunts or bravado from the soldiers. There's grim determination, there's despair, there's a glimmer of hope that the next push might be enough to breakthrough... What speeches you hear are men psyching themselves up to going over the top once again. What shouts you hear are either actual, vital battlefield information or screams of pain and agony.
Also, the feel of running through an artillery barrage, either as an attacker or defender, looking for any haven of safety from certain death. God, that's intense.
The one thing I would actually criticize is the lack of absolute dread that Gas attacks should inspire. At most, gas grenades are an annoyance rather than the bringer of horrifying death it was in reality.
The game really should have had actual Gas barrages.

I'm going to buy BF1 Revolution today, and I don't think I'll ever regret it! it's my favorite battlefield, even though I only played the BFV, I've seen several gameplays and I've already used share play with my friend.

The bullet velocity of the snipers in this game is so good. It is the most important thing which makes sniping viable. As opposed to BFV and 2042 where you it's impossible to hit a moving enemy or to win a 1 v 1 with the opponent shooting at you ADAD spamming. You will get gunned down from most ranges
BfV has faster bullet speed than bf1. Sweetspot mechanic is what makes sniping busted in bf1
I noticed that with 2042 too, just Gan dodge the bullets, you can see them coming.

@@mrchunks912 incorrect. If that was the case, the G95 would not be one of the best rifles in the game. The reason rifles are better is because of the higher min and max damage even outside the sweetspot range coupled with the ranged limitations of automatic weapons also known as good balance.
Also I have posted a Twitter thread where both Stodeh AND Florian confirm the velocities of rifles is lower on BFV compared to BF1. BF1 rifles are the fastest (best) they have ever been minus hitscan
@@jortepap Florian also confirmed that bullet velocity is slower in BFV AND the movement is more unnaturally fast. Add in the low max damage, the healing pouches and you have the complete destruction of the viability of aggressive console sniping.
I also know a thing or two about sniping in BF1 versus BFV

I under appreciated this game when it was new. Started seeing your old top tens on it and got back into it, love this game more now than I ever did before.
I never liked it, just like I didn't like BFV neither, the WW isn't for me in BF, I prefer modern ones 🤷🏻♂️
That's why even tho I hate 2042 so much I still play this one instead of V or 1.

Things that would've made BF1 a 10/10:
More teamwork oriented tank-play
No random bullet deviation
Rework maps like Monte Grappe so that it isn't an absolute clusterfuck to win the objective
Make a Thomas skin for the Armored Train

Well,the Perino Defensive variant has a bit o random bullet deviation at the first shots and then it is dead accurate and so good
The reason I think bf1 is one of the best bf1 battlefield games is because bf1 was a lot of people first bf game including me and because bf1 was a really good game it made all the new bf players play the other games

This game is so satisfying and gritty
Played this on launch day in 2016 on a base PS4 on a 32" LCD TV and the frame rate was jarring but I still loved the game.
Played this earlier today on PS5 and Series X in 60/120fps on a 65" OLED in HDR/Dolby Vision
It's like a while new game - looks and feels amazing for an almost 6yr old game.

I just unlocked the Peace Keeper yesterday afternoon while Covid quarantined and this is all I’ve been playing. BF1 just doesn’t get boring.

I find it hilarious how one night after I played 2042 I decided to re downloaded BF1 on my next generation PC and the game graphics looks way better then 2042. If I never played the franchise I would seriously have thought it was the newer game.
Been a battlefield user since BFBC2 on PS3 and BF2 on PC back in 2007. After BF2042, I went to BF1. I have never played BF1 before, since I stopped playing completely after BF4. My initial reactions from BF1 vs BF2042 was night and day. BF1 had my heart pumping, palms sweating, more than BF2042 ever could. I'm always in the top 8 players and get highlighted as best squad support 90% of the time. It brought me back to how I felt when BF3 released. What astonishes me is that BF1 is a 6 year old game at this point and it is EONS better than BF2042. Up there with my top favorites. RIP the best gaming franchise... DICE devs left and took what made Battlefield so great with them.

It has some realism that you can't shoot with accuracy an automatic machine gun standing up while the soldier is scared and there is explosions aroung the soldier, incoming fire and he is in the middle of winter with winds hitting him.
I like to think if we had gotten an eastern front for bfv, it could’ve lived up to this great game

I really like battlefield 1, for me it is one of the games that I like the most and as a game on xbox there were almost no servers to play, I do not know why that happens but it has happened to me for a few months, good video
Speaking of the Type 38's bolt cycle animation, that's all of the rifles that DICE LA added bar the Ross MkIII. Notice all of the base game manual-action rifles, the Lebel M1886 (which I believe was still DICE Stockholm), and the Ross MkIII. The bolt cycle animation of those rifles keeps the sights relatively centered on the screen, thus making target reacquisition quite easy. The rest of the rifles that DICE LA added, on the other hand, have VERY erratic animations.
I've been getting full servers on the dlc maps on xbox and that makes me really happy cuz the dlc maps are so good
