I'd never laugh about someone being cautious when crossing any water. Many people are not cautious enough and people die every year crossing water in Australia. It's a beautiful part of the State and like you say about the rock formations, spectacular. Great video Tyler. Thank you...
Damn you're right, just checked and realised the main camera was on left hand audio only still as that is how the microphone records, forgot to fix it in editing 🤦♂️ next episode is fixed
With that water crossing, if you can walk across it without the aid of a stick for support to steady yourself, then you are good to go. I was told about that 43 years ago and still doing it that way and have never came to grief. Great video mate, you’re doing a great job. 😊👍👍
Great content as always mate! Humble, honest, achievable, easy to watch....not a 30min advertisement.... 50k + followers very soon :) watch this space.
I wasn’t laughing at your cautious river crossings...it’s smart to check something out first. I do it all the time and laugh like you did when it was easy as 😂👍. Keen for the rest.
The first video as a Professional RUclipsr, I hope you can look back on this clip in many years to come and think 'I made the right decision'. Good stuff Tyler, I hope you didn't damage the beast when you slipped into that bank.
@@TylerThompson90 when it went thunk I thought, oh no now he's going to want brush/front guard bars. I bet that you end up getting some once you get into the more extreme tracks. Thanks for your reply mate, I appreciate it.
Excellent vid mate! Looks like it was a cracker of a trip. Nothing wrong with being nervous on big river crossings champ, you had your young fella with ya as well. Taking that step back in those moments to do a thorough risk assessment saves vehicles and lives. :-)
Yep it’s a different world out that way now, everything’s green and back to life, creeks are flowing, grass everywhere Just goes to show no matter how bad a drought is, it always rains in the end
never be afraid to turn around at a water crossing or tricky track, theres always another day. If the water can go under the vehicle, generally ok but water hitting side theres a massive force, just like a sail....Nice to see your taking time to read and reply to comments, good for feed back, good for channel, hope the first week of your new venture is going well for you.
Awesome location, I love camping in that area. The water crossing scene was a bit of a laugh as it is pretty tame crossing there but you are 100% right to be cautious. Great drone footage too.
Love the quality of your videos! Ive recently purchased a 20’ MR GLX+ Triton. Reason being your videos to be honest, (i had to get back out there) I can’t wait too set it all up and check out some of the spots you’ve showed us! People really don’t know how lucky we are to be in a country so big like Australia! Thanks again mate 👍
Nice, I live real close to here and been wanting to check out Sofala/Turon gates area for a while now so this definitely inspired me to make it happen. 👍🏾
Rig looks the goods. The comparison always interesting with Dads vehicle. Demonstrating the fact that minimal mods required most of the time. Winch is preferable if solo, underbody protection and AT tyres.
Great video mate. Your channel has inspired me to start one of my own except mine will be dirt bike orientated. Keep up the great work and congratulations on going full time with it.
Love the video mate! We were at green point only a day or so before you I think and we had to escape a flash flood in the early hours of what would probably have been day two for you.
Great video I love the Capertee area (pronounced cape er tea), and I've been going to Mt Airlie since the mid 90's, crazy how much it's changed over the years. That canyon walk that you did used to have a ladder to climb down where you stopped (probably the one you walked over earlier), but NPWS removed it for saftey reasons, the walk actually continues on a loop and comes back to the main track, there's also another interesting canyon walk not far from there on the other side of the road. As for the water crossings, I've seen too many close calls to ever bag someone out for being too careful.
Pa'.....love the suspense you bring to the channel. Never leave home without him ;-) Kye love your umbrella mate....might need to make it a bit bigger though...lol :-) Some people may be laughing about the water crossing, but if you don't know or have not got the experience, being pre-cautious is a better option in my opinion. Thanks for the videos
I wasn’t laughing at your cautious river crossing bro, you played the situation perfectly... cautious not reckless! Although the bloopers at the end always get me! 🤣 excellent content mate, keep it coming! 👍🏼
With water crossings i have always been told if you cant walk it easy you cant drive it. So in that situation it was all good. Right to be cautious though.
Really lovin' your video's Tyler, well done!! One day i will go on a 4wd trip. I love that ladder, i will have to get myself one of them. I'm on mid coast as well yay!!!!

fast water crossings are always sketch af i think - fine for you guys where it was under the car, but once it gets to sidestep height, there's a hell of a lot more force pushing you off the ledge, woulda been pushed off i reckon

It's so refreshing having a 4wd channel that doesn't bang on about beer every 5 seconds.
Haha yeah im not much of an alcohol drinker myself
Or finish off each comment with a silly girly “false laugh”, that Graham Cahill does from 4WD Action.
Refreshing to watch a 4x4 vid that's relaxed and not just another advertorial for products 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it mate!
