I had used my Shield Plus as a warm weather carry but since the introduction of the 15 round mag I now use it as a year round carry gun.I carry it with the 10 round mag,,1 in the chamber & have the 15 rounder in a mag pouch on opposite side of my belt.Been a sweet reliable little shooter.
Great shooting little gun. I normally don't care for tiny little 9's but this one shoots well unlike some of the others. It handles the recoil like a bigger gun almost. With the 15 rounders that came out you can use as backups it's a no brainer for carry.
Shield plus is probably a little larger than the average micro, but it is thin & easily concealed. Good trigger break & not very snappy for a small gun. Texture is aggressive, 13 rnd mag was tearing inside lining of my suit jackets. But feels great in hand. Job well done S&W.
I've had my Shield Plus for almost 2 years now as my EDC, and it's been a wonderful gun. Got over 1,000 rds. through it with all kinds of ammo without a hiccup. Fit the hand very well, very accurate and it's not as snappy as other guns of it's class. Very happy.
I had an awesome Shield 45 but eventually gave it to my oldest son. Then I had a Shield Plus 9mm with the safety but gave it to my youngest son not too long after I purchased it. Now I have a basic Shield Plus 9mm (no safety) and I’m keeping this one. I’ve never had an issue with any of them. They have all worked flawlessly, accurately and are comfortable shooting. Great guns.
I impulse bought mine as well got the non-optics ready model for 450 when it came out. Sold it earlier this year because I hadn't shot it, and it just sat in the safe for over a year. It's a good gun just never carried, and I already have 4 in my rotation (All 4 I shoot better than the Shield Plus).
Great video! This is also one of my favorite year around EDC pistols. I wasn’t sure if you’re aware but Pearce Grips sells pinky extensions but it doesn’t increase capacity. I have one for my 10 and 13 round magazines.
Hey, Dan! I’m in! 😂😂😂😂 I’m actually walking mike dig Scar’Jo (german shepherd) and I’m carrying the S&W Shield Plus 13 rnd mag in and 1 in the pipe. My 10 rounder in my pocket with a Magpull magnet
I was considering picking up a Shield Plus a couple years ago but I ended up paying a little extra & going with the newly released at the time CSX instead, a decision I don’t regret. I love that thing. Very underrated in my humble opinion. My first handgun purchase was a full size M&P 9mm. I still own it, still shoot it, still love it. Simply cannot go wrong with Smith & Wesson. Eventually, I’ll pick up a Shield Plus. Just a matter of time… 😉👍
One of my favorite set ups is the shield plus. Just toss a Houge grip on it and it’s simply one of the best pistols out there. You can find them used for as low as 300-350 bucks. I paid 350 for mine. Was barely used.
On his other channel He really didn't like this gun. He got rid of it because it was too much like the 2.0. it couldn't pass the limp wrist test and various other things. Strange to see it back here.
I got the M&P Shield 40 cal. Single stack, and for the size, it's very powerful. I should have gotten this model in the 9 cal series double stack much easier to handle. Just a wonderful conceal carry every day gun.
They have a 4 inch. I have the Performance center 3 inch. Then I got a 4 inch complete slide so I can swap back and forth. Either one is very easy to carry.
There's a video in which a guy shoots the sheild plus with a shotgun, AR, 9MM , and something else, I forget. But the sheild survived it all and continued to function!

I have carried the original shield for many years and several years back snagged the shield plus. Truly the best carry option around in my opinion

Got mine in 10/2023 and have fired 1800 rounds through it with zero issues to comment on. My model is optics ready and has the night sights.

Got one during the Veterans day sale at Academy. Love it 🎉 May get the TS model also for my 75th birthday in February 🤔😎👍

Love my Shield Plus. Best 9mm carry out there.
I have the 30 SC version and love it. A 16 round mag and a 13 round mag. I put a Holosun 507k green dot.
Hey, Dan!
I’m in! 😂😂😂😂

This has become my main carry gun, plus it is enjoyable to take to the range.

Love my sheild plus...

I use the 15-round mag in mine. I carry it in a Vedder Pocket Locker holster (in carpenter jeans). It's a pocket full, but it works for me.

Great review 👌
If I didn’t own Glocks forever I would have S&W M&P Shied Plus 😊
👍 great shooter.
ok here is my wish list! How about a 3.6 inch barrel on the shield plus?
They have a 4 inch. I have the Performance center 3 inch. Then I got a 4 inch complete slide so I can swap back and forth. Either one is very easy to carry.
Like the shield
Thanks brother man
After the 7 day wait I get mine tomorrow

I own one. But the one I have. Is a tungsten gray color. Haven't seen one like it yet. All the other ones I have seen are black.
I haven't seen that one either. Steve
Dan the firearm guy, my fellow Michigander, interesting to see you on another channel, subscribed.

Great JOB and great review Sir. I am new to your channel Captain 🧑✈️. You got yourself a new supporter here. I would appreciate support Sir.
A guy that works for me had one and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately it wound up getting stolen from him.
