I love the details included to so clearly explain the reasons behind the building choices and the whole process. this build was so well documented, I feel like I was there!
Thank you for sharing this info! I REALLY appreciate the detail you went into about explaining the foundation in detail--so many videos just say "dig a ditch that water can go out of at an angle." But never explain how much of an angle etc. So thank you!
Thank you so much for the detailed instructions in building with cob. Im absolutely loving watching your video's. Im so keen to get started on my own cob building but im still in the process of gathering equipment . Im looking forward to the next viedo
I'd love to host a workshop on the farm in Tennessee. Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge. I've been interested in building cob house fir over a decade and I'm finally starting to dig a trench to get one going.
This is so cool. Imagine if the Australian Government that's been given hundreds of millions of dollars to sort out housing for indigenous Australians in the outback did this from the get go... Peace to you ❤
very swell. more mortar would have made me happier, but not bad. wonder if mud wall needs a waterproof barrier to better prevent erosion into the stone foundation over time or if that'll never happen. mortar between the joints could prevent that I think, or maybe a waterproof top plate? hmm... also interesting how there is no wood header on that door frame. PS. apparently the header is said to be 4 inches wide. strangely the video seem to show only a true dimension 2x4 laid on the horizontal but I digress.
I meant that the overhang of the header beyond the door frame is 4 inches past the door frame to overlap the walls by 4 inches on each side. It’s a 2 by 6. But yeah sorry if I wasn’t clear on that part.

Ooooh I would love to have this in Kenya..... Cob house is my earth school's dream home .......
It was funny watching the guys all look at how level the threshold stone miraculously was. What a great find!
One of my favorite moments from the workshop 🙏🫶 thanks for watching! :)
It was a miracle moment

Thank you for sharing!!
Great video.
Just one tip for the stone foundation is to do a 2 sided masonry wall with smaller ones in the middle.
Very detailed and beautifully paced video .
Thank you 🙏
Love it!!
