I really enjoy LJ Smith’s writing. In everything I’ve read by her, the protagonists is always a hot popular girl. Smith definitely has a specific type of character that she enjoys writing about. And you know what? I don’t hate it. I think she knows what she’s good at and what she enjoys and that’s awesome.

Yes the show is brilliant but I think, even though he was playing kinda the bad guy, Ian somerhalder made it very easy to like damon and even grow to love him. His acting of damon was superb. In the books however we don't have that so he's written and told/forseen as evil really I think. This is only book one maybe they'll make him more lovable in the other books like they did in the show.

Tyler wasn’t like that and it was interesting that Caroline wasn’t dark haired and Elena was blond. The love triangle between Stefan and Damon and Elena which was basically the whole show.
SPOILER FOR AROUND 5 HRS 43 MIN ... Kathrine really just choose both (instead of neither), turned them, and then just killed herself.... Damn. She made their relationship so much worse. How did she think it was going to help? What's worse, is that there are people just that self centered. Wanting everything the way they want them, and then becoming confused or very upset when they don't turn out that way. And then making everything about themselves and going 'woe is me'.

The audio is not very good. The story isn't bad but it is definitely very different from the tv show. My only complaint is the poor quality audio which makes it difficult to listen to Also the voice portrayed as Stephen that sounds like count dracula I didn't really care for.
I also like city of bones never read the books but love the 1st film they did and I especially love the netflix shadowhunters series. Its a shame they cancelled it 😔.
Because she's using the correct Italian pronunciation. The one used in the show is inauthentic because everything was Americanised. Stefan and Damon are actually Italian in the books, so the name is going to be pronounced authentically.
